I am asking this because i was going to buy ESO+. But as always, i do my research before i buy anything, and i have found this under the "YOUR GUIDE TO ESO PLUS™ PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP" Section. I have read the whole thing when i came across this " If your membership ends, you’ll still be able to play ESO (and keep any items and rewards you earned playing within DLC), but you won’t be able to access DLC game pack content that you haven’t purchased separately." To me this seems like I have access to the DLC but when my membership ends i can no longer play the DLC and ultimately have to buy the DLC after ESO+ Expires. Does it work this way? Do i really have to buy the DLC after my ESO+ Expires?

    TLDR Response:
You will have to buy it if you don't plan on keeping ESO+ sub going.

    Longer Response:
To me, it would be cheaper just to buy the DLC separately, and buy extra crown points as needed.
Membership offers three things: DLC access, 1500 Crown per month and a 10% increase in progression.
The extra progression is moot, and can still be bought in the store, when you feel like you need a little boost.

    My thinking:
One time purchase of the DLC, you have access forever.
Buy Crowns and Experience Enhancements as needed.
The extra progression from ESO+ may put you ahead of the zone (which is fine for some, not all), whereas you could also just get the Crown Store boosts as needed if you're the slower leveler for whatever reason.
    NA, PC Megaserver
Zhaani, Female Khajiit, Nightblade, AD (current main)
(Unless otherwise put in my sig, all characters are below level 50)

ESO 2 month sub comes with 3000 crowns, DLC is 2500 crowns. Why pay for DLC seperate when you can sub and use the crowns to pay for the DLC.

3000 crowns is cheaper than 2 months sub. Unless you want the extra's that the sub give's you (Which I don't think is enough value, certainly to warrant a continual subscription) then it's more cost effective to buy the crowns and the DLC outside of sub.

Also, you have to smile when you see the qty's of the crowns you can buy. They don't give an option to purchase crowns in any combination to match a DLC price. Strange that there is no option to buy 1000 crowns ha

Or the other option: buy two months worth of subscription, test the dlc, if you like it, use the crowns you received for the subscription to buy it, otherwise safe them for the next dlc.

You're better off subbing. You get the same amount of crowns for a bit more, but see those extra crowns as a rental fee to try imperial city. If it's not for you, cancel the sub and use crowns for something else. If it is, buy it with the crowns

I don't think subbing is the best option from my own personal circumstances. I've seen enough of the DLC to see that it's something that I'd like, it looks really good and I like what they've included with it. Based on that, I want to buy the DLC but I don't think there is value with the extra's included in the sub for the extra cost. I realise that this may not be true for other players but I personally think the subscription (For what you get) is expensive, however I really admire the fact that what you get in the subscription isn't required to enjoy or get further in the game. Kudo's for not penalising non subbers.

I'd like to see a 3 month deal, for instance DCUO has a £9.99 monthly sub with a £19.99 three month legendary sub. I'd take that

You get 1500 crowns per month that resets when your card is charged. If you're doing monthly then it'll be 1500. You can do multiple months at a time though so if you do a two month renew you'll get 3000 every two months.

Technacally its still not free with an eso+ membership since your paying for that 15 bucks a month its more like your renting it out each month when if you just bought it. It would be a one time fee of 20 bucks

ESO+ offers four things. In addition to the three listed you also get a 10% increase on looted gold.

I am still torn about the sub. I bought the sube for this month. is the 10% gold worth it?
the 10 % exp bonus is nice especially if you buy the 50% exp boost with you crowns. THis adds up to 10hrs of 50% exp boost plus your 10% for premium for a total of....
60% exp bounus for 10 hrs.. not to bad. I just dont like the fact that it is basically renting the DLC. You should be able to own it.. I will probably cancel mine.

Once there's more dlc subbing will make more sense. You have access to all dlc while subbed, but only purchased dlc while unsubbed.

Really - only if you're planning to continuously sub, then you're better off just purchasing the DLC. I plan to continue with ESO+ because it's a personal commitment I made since early access on PC. I don't think the extra 10% bonuses are really that great, but they can add up over time.

Also, it should be noted that in addition to the 10% exp gain and 10% gold increase, there is also a 10% increase in inspiration gain, as well as a 10% decrease in research times.

On a related note, I'd really like to see them add additional subscription tiers on Xbox. Right now, the only option is a monthly subscription.
