Enchanting a weapon

I have found some runes and discovered their 'effects'. I am now trying to enchant my great sword but am not quite sure how to put it on, I have found where I need to do it in my inventory but there are no options for enchantments to use.

Once you have the glyph and the item required in your inventory, select the item you want to enchant (your greatsword), right click (pc) or Triangle/ Y (console) for more options, should be an option to enchant, then highlight the glyph you would like to use :)

Couple of additions to above here.

Only certain types of Glyphs can be put on weapons, certain ones for armor, certain ones for jewelery. So, make sure you have a weapon type glyph (frost, fire, shock, posion, disease, absorbe health etc) and it is for the level of your weapon. See the following for what can be put on what:

You recharge your enchantment using a filled soul gem in much the same way as you enchant, only you choose Charge rather than Enchant. And, you can trade out glyphs on most things and for sure on anything you can apply an enchant too. Also, you can put an enchant on an item in lieu of recharging it. The last is useful if you enchant with loot drop glyphs as go along.
