Werewolf as a Magicka user?

 Rockford
I'm running a magicka based (resto staff) Nightblade in which I have noticed as trade off from burst from my old stam build (DW/Bow), to survivability. So I've tried Vampire only to really not enjoy the extra % to fire damage received, though I can definitely understand the appeal. It's just not for me.

I'd like to try out werewolf on this character, but curious as to how my 3:2 Magicka/Health ratio would affect werewolf use and if the stamina buff the form brings would be enough to run effectively.

Theory on how it'd play is most welcome. <3

I believe your heal is powerful, but that is the only thing scaling on spell power.

The other abilities appear to scale off weapon power.

I run the 'Way of the air' set on my stamina sorcerer werewolf to increase my heal and address sorcerers lack of stamina regen.

You will still do some burst damage, just not as high as a stamina spec.

For a magica NB most of your burst will be from invisible prox det > concealed weapon > dawnbreaker of smiting (or Soul Leech or Soul/Incapacitating Strike)

It currently is a good idea to be a werewolf on any character that isn't a vampire because of the free 15% stamina regeneration with no negative effects. However, with the upcoming patch for Imperial City, werewolf will only have the 15% stamina regeneration if the ultimate is slotted. Since this would be a waste of a very useful ability slot, I wouldn't recommend taking werewolf on a magicka based character.

Thanks for the head-up guys. Will definitely keep the WW for the Stam characters then, may possibly pick it up anyway only not to use it while being a caster.

My current build is Swallow Soul, Sap Essence, Reapers Mark, Mutagen, Healing Ward and Veil of Blades. This works amazingly well for groups of 5-8 mobs 3vr levels higher than me, but terribly gimp for single target fights.

My other bar is used for when I heal in dungeons, but thinking it may be best to configure it for the single fights. Dawnbreaker does look very good, and am not far from unlocking. What would be a good setup for my secondary bar for single target burst? I'd probably keep using resto staff for the survivability if there's no other alternatives.
