With the balancing off racial bonuses will we see race changes coming soon?

Imperial took an intended slight nerf to its distinct passive. I personally would of chose a different race had I known about the buffs and nerfs.

They said when they make Big changes they may add it.
They said IC will only be small changes so no they not adding it.
pS if they did add it we would know pc would get it first.

Last I heard, they said they will want to wait to see how the racial rebalancing with IC is going to work out before they make any further decision on this matter...

Still, I expect sooner or later race change will show up as something to spend crowns on. Only natural that they'd add more and more stuff for people to pay for... I just hope it will be decently priced, say, around 2500 crowns, enough so people won't do it casually, yet still affordable for those who feel a need worth spending the crowns...

    I disagree.

Not everyone has the any race, any faction upgrade. Unless the race change would be the same cost as that upgrade (highly doubtful) then people would get around that rule cheaper. Of course, it COULD force you to switch factions in that case, though that brings up the issue that if you don't like that your faction is losing in PvP, you can just jump ship to the winning one.

Somewhat less of an issue, what about racial passives? If you're invested in your current ones, do you get those points back? Or do they automatically get put into the new skills? What if you don't want those new skills? Then you'll need to purchase resets, which causes you to sink gold or more crowns into the game. Not exactly a huge issue, but an inconvenience that I'm certain the majority of people don't want to deal with.

If you're really that unhappy with your race, you shouldn't have chosen it. Or if you did choose it, you shouldn't have realized it much earlier, and made a new character when you were low leveled and didn't have a lot of ground to make up. I'm sorry, but it doesn't make any sense for ZoS to put time and effort into a system to "fix" something that is entirely the player's fault.

A year after release they made sweeping changes to class skills, adding tons of stamina morphs where there were once only magicka ones. I made a Breton Nightblade BASED on information at the time, one year later after I'd already hit level cap, Zenimax changes several of my most used class skills to stamina based.

So please, tell me again how it's my fault, tell me again how I should just start over.

Zenimax owes the community at least a one time race reset.

Yeah, you should have used your powers of premonition to know that ZOS would nerf the only valuable Argonian passive into uselessness, thus destroying your playstyle and the very reason you picked the race. You clearly didn't pick the right psychic. Get it sorted man! >_>

Race changes and faction changes would be nice.
Pay to change either = Many happy customers
Nobody is forced to pay for the features.
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing one, non-repeatable quest that rewarded only one appearance/race change.
No experience, no gold, no gear/items (gear gets destroyed and replaced with race-specific gear of same stats if it's a race change).
    NA, PC Megaserver
Zhaani, Female Khajiit, Nightblade, AD (current main)
(Unless otherwise put in my sig, all characters are below level 50)

If races were balanced, no one should have an issue with people wanting to pay for a race change. People invest a lot of time and money on their character's and they should be able to have services to change their appearance, change their race and change their faction. If everything is balanced then no one should have issues with this. If you want to play the same character for many years then these services are absolutely paramount.

Stop being lazy and just reroll the race you want. Race changes would make the whole thing stupid. Might as well make all the racial passives he same if you're going to let people change their race at will.

Will never happen. Not should it.

    Elsewhere it was stated:
This is something we're actively working on (well, the ability to change character appearance), along with race change. :) We don't have an ETA or specifics on exactly how it will be implemented, but it is something we're working on.
So, it is going to happen. Eventually.
And as long as they charge a hefty price for it, I have no issue with that, even though I would see no reason for any of my characters to change their race...

@hobnailedboots its definitely not a question of lazyness; rerolling takes forever and puts you at a definitive disadvantage in terms of regular cp gain. Also, its not practical to not have race changes when players choose their race based on one set of passives and then those passives are changed. Players shouldn't be punished for making choices they couldn't possible realize were wrong.

For example, anyone who played a hybrid pre-1.6 is now in a crappy situation that they never got a choice in. Many of whom are dedicated players who love the game.

In my opinion it's just lazyness to demand race change. Just make a new character of the race you want, how hard can that be? Oh, no free character slots? Delete an old one. Don't want to delete? Buy a second account. Problem sorted.

It takes to long. Or in other words, you're too lazy to do it. So how long before you ask for class change? And Why not make leveling to VR1 a crown store item as well? That takes a long time too.

You realize there's been a dozen posts with Zenimax employees stating that they're working on it right?

Besides, this is a B2P game, give it time, all things will eventually become purchasable when it's economically prudent.

I find it funny how people are calling those that don't want to spend more time playing video games "lazy." You're actually more lazy if all you do is sit around playing video games. It's not laziness that makes us want a race change, it's actually the complete opposite. We have other stuff to do with ourselves and would appreciate ZOS including a convenience, especially considering how they completely changed the game mechanics.

When there's a post right above it that explains the problem with starting over again and you condescendingly suggest purchasing a second account... Yeah, you're trolling.

Or you may just have an incredibly ignorant opinion, in which case you're still trolling, it's just incidental.
