A Damage Issue I Need Help With

Hi there,

I've been maining a DK tank right from when I started playing but I've noticed two problems that have been growing: The first is that my damage output is increasing slower than mobs' hitpoints and combat has become very slow and tedious, especially when I compare myself to other players. The second is that although I'm wearing good tank gear, I simply don't have the magicka/stamina to sustain these long fights so I'm getting slowly beaten down in many fights.

I'm going to re-roll but I don't know whether to re-roll a Nord DK or any other race/class combo. Could someone recommend me a good race/class combo that has good damage output and not necessarily tanky, but good at soloing? I enjoy melée classes a lot more than ranged.

You can't really be a Tank in Solo Play, not in the traditional sense of drawing Aggro on a Boss or Adds and keeping them busy while the DPS's wear them down and the Healer keeps you alive. You can play in a Tank style where you rush in and wail on the mobs from right in front of them. Which I will assume is what your referring to when you say you play as a Tank. It is also the way I play my DK sometimes.

You mentioned running out of Stamina and Magic, that might be the issue. If you have split your skills across the two attributes your going to be weak. Instead, you want to pick all magic or stamina skills/morphs, put all your attributes into one or the other to match your skills, same with Glyphs and Gear. Then you will see the damage out put skyrocket.

Me, I prefer to be a Magic based DK and use Stamina to Block and Dodge Roll, but not to base skill damage on.
