Changing class and race

Is there going to be a schroll to be able to change class and race on a character that is already made?

I seriously doubt it... if you changed the class and the race it wouldn't be the same character... at that point why not just make a new character? I assume this is just because you want to keep your gold, items and XP. You can store your gold and items... but you wouldn't "deserve" the xp as you didn't earn it with that character or class.

This would be the equivalent of buying a character the same level you already are... I don't think that's right.

There are whispers of Race Change scrolls floating about, but I personally haven't heard anything about a Class Change option. Anything's a possibility though.

At the very least a full character appearance change feature needs to be added. Most MMOs offer this service for their customers.

Now this I can get behind. Skyrim had it where you get your face changed, there's no reason that's a bad idea.
As long as it's visual and not like OP suggested where you get a whole new character and class, that's just overboard.

i highly want this as im tired of my class and wanna try out something else but i dont wanna go thru the whole story and leveling up again, too much time consuming. zenimax did say tht when u make ur character and choose class thts what u start off with but after u can become watever u want and without much flexibility with classes i cant rlly make my character how i want it to be. but it was true for skyrim however.

Yeah but that's just laziness, no offense. That goes back to what I Said - that's the equivalent of buying a new character for the same level as your current one... that kinda defeats the purpose of having 8 characters per megaserver. I don't think anybody really wants to replay the main story, but it's kinda unfair to buy a character your level without ever having leveled it yourself.

To be fair they did make it so you can do whatever you want - with weapons, armour and crafting that is. The only thing you don't get much choice on is class abilities.

I think a better solution would be to add 2-3 new skill lines to every class to mix it up a bit.

How long have you been playing? I'm guessing from the fact that you asked this question that you are relatively new. If you get tired of characters - this may not be the game for you.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I'm alright with changing a race, to experience a different side to your chosen class, but changing the class should never be allowed. Besides, it helps starting from scratch with a new class. You'll learn how to play it better instead of just changing your high level character into a class you might not have played before, then getting your team mates killed because you're playing like an ass.

What they really ought to add was a character recustomization option. Revisiting chargen screen, and being able to fix small details that didn't look in live game like they did back when you made the character, that sort of thing, for a reasonable crown cost, either as token to enter that recustomization, or a small cost "per slider moved" adding up to a total (my personal favorite), perhaps even some generousity mixed in by allowing "everyday" changes like hairstyle and makeup for a gold cost...

Once that happens... the option to change ones character race (and gender for that matter) might be added to it, albeit for a somewhat heftier price. I myself would see no reason to use it at this point (might be a different story if they added more race options to the crown store), but many want this to keep chasing super-effective builds after their racial passives got changed... or simply to reimagine their character, have a new start because they need to break with some old theme, or thought of some better backstory...
(and in any case, race change -does- have a precedent in the lore, remember that dunmer trying to change into khajiit in greenshade and messing up the potion a bit? He did change his race... just... not quite as he intended...)

Class change... is more of a can of worms. It would have to include a complete skill respec, and thus be rather annoying to code... and only few would be likely to spend crowns on this, as most have one alt for each clas, some even one alt for class&build (that IS why we have 8 slots I presume - each class in both stamina dna magica version...), and then see which class suits them best for play, taking that one to max level, while keeping the others on the sidelines. Thus the number of players who'd be willing to shell out major crowns (which this would be costing) to swap classes would be rather small I'd think...
Still... it might make sense, IF they ever add another class.
Because then a class change option would suddenly become attractive to all the people who already have all their character slots filled and already leveled every one of them into veteran ranks, well past casual "just delete and reroll" territory...
