Cadwells Silver...awesome!

Just started into this after Coldharbor and finding these areas new to my character to be just a ton of fun. I only have one low level alt which I don't do much with so this was a godsend for keeping the game fresh for me. Not having done these areas with the exception of way back on pc beta for the Nord area , this was refreshing. I guess if you're one of those that play multiple characters it might not be as big a deal but for someone like me that primarily focuses on one central character it keeps things progressive. Awesome job on this aspect of the game imo.

Just finished the cadwell silver for the 3rd time, cadwell gold twice :)

my first experience is like the OP, you will have lots of fun exploring the game, if u like me love to quest and see now worlds and such.

I actually thought about how small this game feels when your only doing dungeons/trials today, and how amazingly beautiful they have made the whole world, lots of incredible details, and im so looking forward to IC

lol after my first run through it all, i decided to alt it up to the extreme by leveling the other 3 classes all at once via zone by zone. just finished stonefalls with my sorc need to do it 2 more times with the templar and dragonknight and keep repeating this rotation until they are all done :D

My first character I completed all the zones and got the Tamriel hero achievement.

On my second and third character I just completed the essential quests Coldharbour, Harborage, Cadwell Silver and Alikr Desert. I don't mind having to do these on each new character. It breaks up the grind.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes Cadwell's quests. I've run 4 characters all the way thru gold and my fifth is about to finish silver today and head into gold. I love questing, why is that such a dirty word around here?

    I suppose it is ok,if one likes doing the same thing over,and over,and over,and over,and over,and over,and over,and over,and over,and over,and over.......and over,and over,and over........................and over...

Still only VR 6 myself, just can't start yet another quest that is a copy of the first or the second zone.....

Sorry i have to ask because probably you are the first one ever not hating the rise and repeat of Cadwell silver and gold.

Sounds like you're familiar with the gear "progression" necessary for character development in other games.
It was not at all unusual to hear friends/guild-mates complain about running the same raid 50 (and more!!) times to get that needed piece of [RNG] dropped gear. That means, each time it was necessary to gather, or corral ;) 10-20 other folks to raid, or worse, deal with yet another PUG.

I too really enjoy Cadwell's silver/gold questing and look forward to running through this content with another character/class in the future.
For me, running the same raid repeatedly = burnout. Repeating an interesting quest just allows the opportunity to see/hear something I missed the first (or second, or third) time around.

As opposed to grinding the same trial or pledge for the 437th time? The way I look at Cadwell's is you run each toon thru it once and they're VR10-ish when you're done. 8 toons means you'll do the same quests 8 times. That's a hell of a lot more appealing to me then spending days grinding mobs.

I would enjoy it more if it wasn't ridiculously easy, actually had interesting quest design, and wasn't mainly just fetch quests.

I think Silver and Gold makes ESO really alt-unfriendly.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

No joke. How do people run silver and gold more than once? I'm sticking with one character and exploring every inch of ESO's landscape.

I see 3 big reasons not to play an alt:
    - I don't gain champ points unless I vet level my alt or play my main. That sucks if I want to play Blackwater Blade on a pvp alt.
    - Skill points. How I hate skill points. Finding skyshards is fun the first time. Hunting them down for an alt a 2nd time, no thanks. I'd rather level up skills the true Elder Scrolls way through playing then have my skills locked behind a point system.
    - Running the same old quest again, nope. No way I can run through the same quest right after I get to max level. It may be doable if I shelve ESO for a year and come back fresh.

Because grinding for exp definitely does not fit that description, at all, whatsoever.

I have hit a casual player end-game wall just this weekend.

I spent as long as I could getting to V14 (although that last V12-14 grind was mind numbing) and no Im not going to do more grinding for CP's

I have a few alts playing around with different builds but I doubt any of them will go anywhere near Cadwell's silver and gold.

Orsinium DLC better come along promptly ... I don't see any Imperial City casual player friendly content to assist with V14-16.
ESP is not free-to-play for consoles (requires platform monthly membership to play ESO) so you can't prolong the life by pretending its free to play.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Except in this case it's decidedly NOT to each their own. That's my problem with silver/gold, that there's no alternative. Consider for a moment if instead of 10 VR levels they'd simply capped characters at 50, yet still allowed players to travel to the other factions to quest. If you think like the developers then the first thought that popped in to your head was...

"Why would anyone quest through the other factions if they weren't forced to?"

EXACTLY!!!!! Why do you want to force players to do something you already know they don't want to do? This is a game! It's meant to be fun, it's not a side job for extra Xmas money.

If they didn't force players to go through S/G then players could choose to go through S/G for extra gold, the skyshards, when they are bored because none of their friends are on, or simply because they just love to quest. THAT would be...

    to each their own.

I'm glad you enjoy this, personnally I find the whole system lazy.

I had hoped to have a run through each alliance on a different Character, instead of the made up go back in time and do it all again. I hate the fact that I have to do all the same stories again and again.
