Like, really basic stuff. I just got into ESO, it's my first real MMO, and I know LITERALLY. NOTHING. Except how to kill. And the literally is not a exaggeration either. Except the kill part.

Also, on the subject of Crown Store stuff, is there anything you think worth getting with my 1250 Crowns?

I think you can approach an mmo mostly by just seeing it as a normal single player RPG, with functions for playing it with others you known or don't know. This adds additional features like challenging multiplayer instances (e.g. groupdungeons), the abillity to group up and the abillity to trade with eachother.

The best way to get into this is to approach it as a normal single player RPG, but join a guild (you can actually join up to five guilds). Playerguilds are large groups of people who have a common chatchannel (and some other benefits like a tradingpost). At first you don't have to do a lot with it but socialise. That isn't hard. Just say hello when you get on and goodbye when you go off and do the same with others. It often is a conversationstarter.
When you feel confident enough (or maybe you do strait away) dare to ask questions. There are no such things as stupid questions. Any good guild will understand this. See something you don't understand? ask them what it is! Got issues to do something alone? Ask them for help.

Important here is that you seek a guild that is social. For example, there are trading guilds (just for trading with eachother) and dungeonguilds (just to do dungeons together). You want a social all purpose guild.

A good place to find guilds is in the bottom of this forum. Make sure you select the category for your server and region (e.g. PC-EU).

If you happen to be on the PC-EU servers, feel free to look for my name there -wink-

Nothing on there is really worth it. Mounts can be bought in game. Motifs too (and you still need the hard to get style materials).

the only things on it that might be worth it, are higher priced.
    - explorerspack. This allows you to create any race in any alliance : 1900 crowns
    - imperial edition. This allows you to make an imperial race character (in any alliance). It also allows you to convert items to imperial style (one of the most expensive styles, but it will be converted to accountbound, so only for personal use): 2100 crowns
    - Imperial city DLC. The first "expansion" to elder scrolls online. It is currently unavailable, but will be end of this month.: 2500 crowns.

Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
