Is Inferno buff worth it? Dragonknight.

Stupid thing turns off whenever I change ability bars...Also reduces magic regen or max magic? So i need to have it slotted twice, and it lowers stats?

How nice is this spell? I dont notice anything too crazy with it on....what am I missing here?

Personally I never use it. I never even unlock it. It seems pretty useless to me. There are far more useful abilities to keep on your bars.

Like most skills, it does not get interesting until you Morph it. Then it is nice to use. It is a toss up between this and Inner Light, but Inner Light does not give you Weapon Criticals or Restore Magic. Not sure what Morph to recommend as that would all depend on your build and playstyle.

One bad thing about this skill is if your trying to get past mobs when it is active is the fireballs can aggro them. But other than that, it is nice alternative to Inner Light.

I use it with my magika DK. raises weapon and spell crit with the flames of oblivion morph. I like it alright but have been considering a change. I do notice more damage from my attacks occasionally especially spell attacks when i hit crits. I put some CP into extra crit damage as well to help make it more useful. I guess it depends on your play style MY DK is high AOE and set up to grind mobs asap

Take your pick, personally it is a no brainer.

You can also make Inferno 10% spell+weapon crit

Doesn't magelight reduce max magika not increase? That's the way it reads to me.

EDIT- I see there is an inner light morph that gives + 2% but that's not the same as 7

Radiant Magelight reduces max magicka, Inner Light increases it by 5% +2% from guild passive.

Ahh okay I see the guild passive now max magika and magika recovery 1% for each ability slotted.

I use Inferno a lot with my stamina DK for the extra weapon and spell crit. With it on I'm mid-50's spell crit and upper 60% weapon crit..........3000 weapon damage doesn't hurt either. Inner light for a dps stamina DK build?......LOL

Depends on your build and play stile really.....I like it in my build.

weapon crit is so easy to get that most people don't waste a skill slot for 10% weap crit. If you do want to use up a slot for crit then Evil hunter gives you 10% weap crit and in my opinion is more useful to a stam build than Inferno as its restores stamina.

weapon crit is so easy to get that most people don't waste a skill slot for 10% weap crit. If you do want to use up a slot for crit then Evil hunter gives you 10% weap crit and in my opinion is more useful to a stam build than Inferno as its restores stamina.

I do use Evil Hunter sometimes (it's not always better).....I use what works best for the time at hand. (the same thing I do with all of my other skills). Anyone with limited skill set is dead a lot.

I guess I just find it hard to see a situation where spell crit would be more useful than a chance at extra damage and gaining stamina back for a Stam build.

That's after it's morphed, though. Inferno morph has +10% weapon crit also.

The crit doesn't stack. its the same buff.

I do use it and I'll walk through this a little why I like the skill - I liked it enough to remove the Dragon Hardened Armour.

First off, much like Magelight, the Inferno ability will deactivate if you swap weapons - UNLESS, you have the Inferno skill on the other skillset as well, then it will remain active. Since I don't do much swapping this works out okay for me, I can afford to have it on both loadouts.

I'm not really sure what you mean about the reduction to Magic Regen and Max Magicka, that is not in the skill notes at all and I've never noticed such a thing using it.

I have the Flames of Oblivion Upgrade, so I get both Massive Prohpecy AND Massive Savergery - making this the optimal choice over magelight which only offer Prophecy (and 5% extra MP if you morphed it how I did).

Now is it worth it? Depends really on your build. I use an Inferno Staff DK and it compliments my build well. I notice that I kill things about 100% faster with it toggled just using my normal attacks and spells.

The fireball mechanism is also really useful, sometimes it gets that last hit in on an enemy that I can't get out because of lack of Stamina/Magicka and staff charge time is slow, doesn't happen alot, but that fireball is a nice addition.

Overall I personally like the skill - but if I wasn't a Flame Staff DK then I might not use it.

If you're a staff user and staff attack weave then I think the extra weapon crit would probably be more dps than the bonus spell power from the extra magicka.

It is most definitely worth it in matter if your melee or caster, stam or magicka. Get flames of oblivion morph
