You can't block,dodge,use ability, light attack, heavy etc...

Kind of a game braking bug when you lose the ability to fight in the middle of pvp.

Is this only a console issue? This happens to me every once in awhile on my ps4 but stops immediately when I plug my controller in.

Not sure but I got it this morning on Xbox One and had it a few times over the past few weeks

It does seem limited to console.
Fix: Log out, log back in. But that's not always ideal cause you get moved if in certain instances.

*havent tried using the USB cable. I'll do this next time but that's silly....15 ft USB cable FTW

I've removed skills and reassigned them which helps some but doesn't fix them all

I've experienced this the other day on PC. Happened to me twice within about a 20 minute span. I needed to restart my game in order to fix the bug.

For me I wasn't able weapon swap or perform any attacks. When I opened my inventory I noticed that my weapon swap bars were locked even though I had two weapons equipped.

I've had it several times on EU / PC..... 1st time was in DSA & vDSA where its happened quite a bit...

Then last night in PvP it was happening as well.

For me the weird fix was to perform a dodge roll!

Before that nothing worked, no skills of any kind, no weapon swap... nothing.

Then I discovered, dodge roll & it all comes back!..

1. Make sure your controller is charged or the batteries are replaced.
2. Best to use a wired controller, eliminates interference issues
3. Remember that sometimes lag can occur making controls unresponsive.

I have noticed that a couple of times I could not get my character to dodge roll or move around last night in some Group Dungeons. I even remember saying one time, "Move Woman!!!" and one of the group thought I was talking about her. lol. I explained that I only talk mean to my characters, not other humans.

This happened to me during the last few days all the time, that in the middle of combat, using skills failed. I only can get them to work again by pressing the "escape" button, but this can't be "the" solution because there's simply no time to pop up menus while trying to concentrate on the fight.
I've had this before, but only every once in a while, and now it seems to be part of the general combat tactics..
This ONLY happened with my Templars so far.

Edit: I'm on PC.

Just take a shower and calm down , and see your character being killed like a sheep

Ah, so it is not just me then. I thought it may have just been a poorly designed/ bugged out silence spell of some sort that made no indication of its existence eating away at the well being of my character (animation, sound etc). It always happens to me mid-fight and the capabilities of being able to fight back do 'eventually' come back but after 30 seconds of painful beatings. Does any class have a ridiculously long silence?

Something like this was happening to me a few times yesterday. My weapons would vanish and I couldn't do anything. No weapon swap or use abilities. PS4 here.

I've been playing on PC since beta/launch etc... It's been a bug that has happened to me on occasion as well. I play all wired so it's not a connection issue. It's some weird bug. Sometimes a relog fixes it, sometimes I have to close the whole game out and reboot it while other times if I just stand there and wait 5 minutes or so I can draw my weapon/sheathe it, use abilities and attacks etc. It's a REALLY frustrating bug and it happens to me in many varied instances. Often it happens while I'm voice chatting and fighting mobs. Might have something to do with the dumb control key? I'm not sure.

Happens to me on PC as well. I've found a quick flip into Skills window, couple of weapon swaps and close window gets me back in action....if I don't get killed while doing it lol.

Have things happen like this when my little group encounters the same 5 or six players all the sudden, nothing works, look on the map there is no action going on anywhere, no one standing around spamming, and when these 5 or six players leave the area so does the huge latency that seemed to come with them, it does not happen once in awhile when we encounter this group but every time, I am not much for conspiracy theories but this makes me raise an eyebrow. You can fight in huge battles and the normal lag seems to build slowly, but this is instant and completely renders you useless.

PC user here. I can view skills, but swapping weapons usually is also disabled. It usually happens to me after mounting or dismounting. I usually just walk away from the area for 10 seconds and they become enabled.

It most frequently happens to me in AD Rawl'ka, so I wonder if it is lag related, or just that I'm there more frequently than any other place.

This happens to me on two specific occasions.(PS4)

The first is I try to ambush but the enemy walks out of range. For some reason, this causes me to lose the ability to perform any combat related action. I can only walk around and it takes approximately 30s to end.

The second is when I animation cancel my ultimate. Sometimes my character will get stuck in sprint mode and I won't be able to do anything until I press the sprint button again.

No pc too sometimes I get it too after I try to use to DK draconic ultimate dragons leap. I bug out and becomed crouch like I'm about to jump and the dragons wings poping out of my back but no flight and only thing i can do is walk around.

ive had this happen a few times, your weapons vanish from your hands and youre pretty much out of sync with the game.

you can move but you cant use skills or attack.

from what i seen the only way to fix this in my experience, drink a potion, go into the menu and unequip and reequip your weapon or wait 1-2 mins for it to resync back and hope by that time youre not dead.

fastest way is to actually waste a potion which is probably good idea anyways since you are almost dead by the time you notice this happening.

Happens occasionally here too. Ps4/na. Usually happens when I use a dash skill, like ambush, and spamming another skill while en route mid air. Freeze up, no actions but I can move. Drinking a health pot real fast fixes it, but annoying if u weren't paying attention.

1. Skill/Door Lockout Bug! - Open Inventory, swap weapons twice, fixed!
2. Swap Lockout Bug! - Dodgeroll. Fixed!
3. Permaroot Bug! - Open Crown store, spin character, fixed!
4. Perma-in-combat Bug! - Find something to kill. Kill it. Fixed, if your last HoT used in combat has expired!
5. Low experience bug! - Open crown store, buy experience booster. Fixed!

Happens to a friend of mine on Xbox all the time with his NB. He thinks it is one of his skills, kind of like DK dragonleap issue. Happens soloing and in dungeons. he'll yell, "can't attack!" and we cover for him for like 30 secs until he gets it back. Doesn't happen to his other characters. Been too lazy to switch my NB alt's skillbars to what he uses to reproduce.

temporary fix, when it happens switch to your repair keep wall stones hit it once(dont have to be by a wall). Then you should be ok till it happens again.
That seems to clear it for me, I suppose any quick slot item might work.

this exact problem is happening to me extremely frequently and i have no idea what to do about it. RIght when im about to kill someone, my skillsvy, light attack, heavy attack, dodge roll, crouch,... etc. ALL locks up. I have died a countless number of times from this stupid game breaking bug. Does anyone have a fix for this because i can not touch PVP anymore until my bar stops locking up every 5 minutes. I have tried quitting the game, restarting my xbox, clearing the blue ray cahce, quitting my apps, changing my settings, changing my skills, respeccing my skills, and literally just about everything. Someone please help

Happens to me on the regular on PC. IDK what it is.

Have also had it happen to others in my group. Bar goes "greyed-out" and they can't do anything.

I'm on xbox one and it happens to me often. It's a weird lag where everything around me is working in real time except me. No weapons, grayed out bar, no roll, and a friend saying, "you gonna help out or just admire the view?"

I've only had individual skills lock up. So many times I've went to use reflective light and it remains greyed out. Another annoying bug with that particular skill is it doesn't always pick out the target who is closest to you (even though the enemy has the red aura around him) and instead homes in on the enemy at the back. It also fails to split into 3 orbs from time to time. Is a real pain when you have a number of enemies dashing towards you.

It happens to me pretty frequently when I animation cancel Flawless Dawnbreaker. Everything locks up and I can't attack, dodge, swap weapons, drink a potion or anything. It treats it as if I'm sprinting and every move I make costs stamina and I can't do anything until I run out of stamina (which being a stamina build is really bad news in PvP).
