there are many chokeholds in Cyrodil that can be reinforced to keep enemy factions from entering large portions of the map. The Dominion has a bigger advantage in this area simply because of where they are located.

The Dominion has bridges on one side that are much harder to fortify, with a river you can cross on some other locations anyway, and on the other side they have gates that can be fortified from their enemy's side. Sounds great, really...

I agree with @ToRelax. The number of times EP has used AD's "milegates" (the bridges) against them is significant, to say the least. Not to mention how easy it is to avoid crossing the bridge itself...

I find the gates to the West to be helpful. It's nice to have players keeps people out on that side and just swoop around East, then North, then the top half of the West.

Alessia bridge from AD side is non functional for siege weapons unlike the EP side. There are very few spaces to set up siege and when finally set your siege, you cant aim at bridge. Thus this let EP(even pugs) camp bridge gate for hours without the fear factor from sieges.

You don't have to be on the bridge neccesaily. Try a little bit in front of it, while EP are running out.

Just why do you think AD's position is better than that of the other factions?
To seccure the gates to DC, AD has to defend the gate itself and two stairs.
To keep players from crossing the Niben, you'd probably have to make a long chain of AD players along the whole river and keep detect potions up.

Have you ever turned around and looked at the EP side approach? There is literally NOWHERE you can put a viable siege weapon that would hit anything coming through or on that bridge. The EP approach is actually steeper than the AD side.

Yeah but that doesnt reach the bridge, it falls well short of the span
