The fog in the game mucks up the appearance and ruins the beautiful scenery. Allow me to demonstrate.
Here are some pictures from Cyrodiil. You can see the pretty sky above and then a gradient fog towards the bottom that looks incredibly dull. The skies look very washed up, which is not good. I understand the reason, so it does not look unrealistic or too vibrant - but this is not how it looks in real life even.
It is not there due to performance either, as you can already adjust the view distance and it does not alter the fog. This is a visual effect that I think ruins the experience. It is almost as if this is how it was created:
Please make the skies more appealing. Create a new fog texture, adjust the transparency - anything.

How do you notice stuff like this?
Oh i removed the distance fog using ESOLauncher graphics tweaking tool and let me tell you, it's better with the fog on. The sprites and distant cardboard cutout scenery look absolutely jawdropping (not in a good way). There's a reason they have fog, distance based blur etc enabled by default, to hide the hideous background textures. Fair enough actual usable landscape and textures looks pretty, but distant "out of bounds" area looks hideous as heck...
I'll try upload some screenshots when i next play to show you. Tust me, you have no idea what you're wishing for..
The fogging gives a distance perspective doesn't it ?
