Weighted Weapon Trait

Ever since launch, I've always wanted to create a quick NB with attacks mostly comprising of light and heavy attacks whilst utilising abilities in-between. I see a lot of ability combinations that I can use in-tandem with basic attacks. Haste (+30% attack speed) was one of it, I was disheartened but glad when ZOS replaced it with Grim Focus given how it works before. Haste did actually increase the speed but it required a whopping 30% increase to notice the effect but again, it wasn't that much anyways.
Back to topic, I remembered testing out purple dual weighted daggers (such a waste of gold and resources definitely) I had few months after launch and the result? One word for you, ridiculous. The buff is barely noticeable. 10% attack speed increase with purple quality weapons? Given how it performs, it's useless at best. Even more useless than Training. I'm sure other players who have tested out Weighted share more or less the same feeling as I do. /endofrant

Which comes to my next question. Has anyone find Weighted to be useful at all? If so, do share your experiences with it as I might've missed something.

What I propose to @ZOS is to either buff the current base figures (up by 10% or 18% maybe? Yes, I'm not kidding. Refer to the first paragraph as to why I feel so) for weighted trait OR replace it with another new trait. Or maybe replace any useless Champion passives with attack speed buff instead. I can't think of any new traits currently but I'm sure there are some that anyone can come up with. Yes, it might (that's a big might btw) contribute to buffing animation cancelling but consider how the trait works now, I'd rather have it replaced or buffed as it is just a waste of potential.
EDIT: Another thing, if the buff seems too much, then I propose a new set that specifically concentrates on buffing attack speed. Think of the countless new builds that would be discovered just by improving this trait.

I found weighted to be of good use on my greatsword. Maybe it's just my imagination but light attacks seemed to kick it up a notch with the trait on the wep.

Haven't found weight useful. Not compared to all the other traits one could slot. Used to apply it to 2hand hoping it it'd be quicker but there seemed to be no difference. Stopped using the trait months ago so Im not sure if anything has really changed with it.

I thought the whole purpose of removing Haste was to prevent total abuse of attack weaving/animation cancelling? Also why get rid of it? Some people like to put it on thuer 2H weapons ya know!

Also just fyi i am pretty sure all 1H swing the sam et speed. So why only put weighted on daggers?

Heh, the training attribute is useful. When I'm trying to bring a new skill on line l get a training sword or a couple of pieces of armor with the attribute and grinding thru a VR level gets noticeably more skill line progress than without it. I just remade my VR5 (almost VR6) Templar into a magicka build and decided to go with light armor, 2 pieces were Training and I hit level 50 in the skill before I made VR7. But weighted? I haven't found a use for that yet.

Maybe I should try it out with a greatsword then. Honestly, I've never tried Weighted on a 2H weapon. Thank you for sharing!

Right? I'm very disappointed how ZOS implemented Weighted into the game. Attack speed has always been the sweetheart of any MMOs/MMORPGs. Plus, I recalled the devs stressing on something like this 'This is unlike any other game as this was meant to play with finesse instead of skill spamming. It is encouraging the players to use basic attacks, blocking etc. rather than spamming skills to gain an edge against your opponent'. Clearly ZOS has gone astray from that principle.

I wasn't aware of the reason behind Haste's removal. But if that's true, then it wan't really that bad I must say. Also, that's pretty insightful. I've always doubted that all 1H weapons have different attack speeds but I wasn't sure back then. Thank you for clarifying this.

That's awesome. I've only used Training a couple of times before. It's good to see that Training actually is useful to some people. *thumbsup*
I just hope ZOS revise and review Weighted trait as it is full of potential.

I share the same feeling as you have. I just feel that the trait needs to be either buffed up or replaced. Any suggestions on how to go about that?
