How often do you use Wayshrine Recall?

Just curious, how often do you find it worth it to spend the gold for recall? Will it be a drain on money in the long run?

Never. I'll check my guild rosters and port to someone in another zone, rather than paying to beam up.

About as often as I see an actual poll added to threads that really should have had one added in the first place *cough*.
Harmless joking aside, very rarely. I usually just save my gold.

At VR14, it costs me 146 gold to wayshrine travel, and about 900 gold if it's on cooldown. Considering I have about 3 million gold, that 146 gold is a pittance. However, I am super cheap and will always teleport to a guildie if my wayshrine cost is on cooldown.

Thought about adding a poll but don't think it's feasible because there are too many different answers.

Exactly what I thought. Sadly, you can't retroactively add a poll to threads on these forums.

Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Depends on what I m doing. I'll use it if I'm finishing up a zone and need 1-3 last skyshards.

I'll also pay for a port back if I'm crafting something at a really out of the way set locations and nobody in guild is near where I want to go (too lazy to port to near someone then free port to wherever for a 2nd free teleport), easier to pay the pocket change for just 1 port than take 2 free ones.

Maybe once a day, tops. Usually it's "Oh, ***! Time for bed, gotta get back to town and sell everything". Other than that it just isn't worth it.

I never pay to travel to a Wayshrine, I just walk to the nearest one and travel for free.

It's definitely magic. Wayshrines are conduits to Aetherius, the realm of Magicka, and only someone whose soul has been (magically) removed, thus unmooring them from the Mundus, and then reattuned via an Aetherial fragment, is able to use them.

Yep. Public dungeon or Delve, I'll always go out the entrance (or secret exit if it has one).

Oh no. You just had me equate Star Trek with ESO. Star Trek being Sci-Fi that visits all sorts of worlds I guess it's POSSIBLE Nirn is one of those worlds.

If that were the case Sheogorath is definitely a Q....

Most of the time it's when I got to a way shrine, decided to open the map to check where I'm going next and then forget I'm not on the wayshrine interface and pay to travel before I realize it.

But sometimes during guild events when we need someone people can port to at the next location.

Other than that, I usually go to a wayshrine, as it allows me to gather mats along the way.

I use it quite often because I tend to be rather lazy. If I am in a hurry, I will almost always use it, sometimes even if there is a shrine less then 20 seconds away.

If I am not in a hurry and there is one within reasonable distance, I'll just walk to the shrine and use them for free. Unless I am feeling lazy of course.

I use it when I run out of inventory space while playing. I guess I could just port to a guild member now that I'm in a couple guilds though. The cost is pretty insignificant anyway.

I was going to make a thread like this, not I don't have to.

I have lately gotten in the habit of porting out of a dungeon after I finish it (kill the boss and collect the shard). I just don't want to fight my way past the respawned mobs again. I know I am giving up some modicum of Exp doing this, but, hey, time is of the essence.

I don't think of opening up the guild list and porting to someone, as it usually takes some time to find someone in the correct alliance and is near where I want to be. Although, once I get to a Wayshrine, I can go anywhere, I just prefer to open the map, and port out.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I never pay gold for the wayshrine recall. I'll always either walk to the nearest wayshrine (which costs me time instead of gold, but I usually end up harvesting some mats along the way, so that offsets the cost in time), or port to a guildie.
