can anyone on xbox live add me my gamertag is in my sig and help me find elder root? im doing the second undaunted quest and I play eastern time 9pm until about 1am

You can port to a member of your dungeon group already there, even if you have never been there before. Form the group first and you are sweet.

You don't need to be in Elden Root at all.

The way dungeons work is that you can do them when you level up. You can then travel to them without unlocking them on the map at all (e.g. you can do banished cells, but also Spindleclutch in DC and Fungal Grotto in EP). All you need to do is make a group and click the icon on the map to travel there.

On top of that...when you are ready to do elden hollow (the dungeon below elden root) you should be level 20 and allready got there with the questline.

Further. dungeon level scales on the level of the party leader. So in short. If you are 5 or 10 or even 30 levels above, you can still do it.

even further. if you really want to go to elden root and if you are in a guild. You can just see on the roster who is in Grathwood and then travel to that guildie. cause elden root is in the middle, there is a 30% change that he will be closest to the elden root wayshrine, and a 60% change it will be a wayshrine very close.

Last of all.
From Skywatch, take the boat to Grathwood. enter haven and take the north-west exit out of town. (so the door west of the mages guild on the map). follow the road and you will get to eldenroot without any issues.

thanks dude I leveled to 14 and made it there , even managed to do the level 15 search meazhtel with the guild master. now im lost with what to do all the quests I have are way higher level then me. should I head back to the firs area and look for the story?

If you are underlevelled you should always go back to search for things you have skipped.

Kenarthi roost (small island reachable with a quest in Vulkhel guard) is for level 1-7
Auridon has content for level 1-15
Grathwood (where elden root is) has content for level 16-23. you should be in eldenroot round level 19-20. The lower level content is to the south of elden root (including the parts east and west of haven).
At level 24 you can go to Greenshade (level 24-31)
At level 32 you can go to Malabal Tor (level 31-37)
At level 38 you can go to Reaper's march (level 19-45)
At level 45 you go into a zone I will not name cause of spoilers. but if you follow the programm you will find out on the way.

@Ranique I was running to elder root trying to escape the wayyyyyy higher level creatures that could one shot me, mid run I came across a dark anchor and there was about 6 people there and we did it pretty easily but the reward was terrible is that usual?

The reward for dolmen consist of 3 elements.
1: xp for the kills and completion (making the dolmen white)
2: loot
3: xp for the fightersguild.

The loot itself is pretty bad, but levelling the fightersguild is pretty important to unlock the skills and quests for it.
