Easiest way to get a vampire bite without a guild and at level 20?

First off, I'm a healer/dps sorcerer. I was wondering if there was any benefit to becoming a vampire, or do the debuffs really not matter so it won't make much of a difference?

If it doesn't make a difference than as the title says, how do I get bit without being in a guild and level 20 since I can't reach the shrine...

You can reach the shrine at any level by simply traveling to another player that is already in the area.
If you value your money, you might want to think about joining a guild and asking for a free bite.

There's scammer abound at the shrines and spawn sites that will take your money and run.

I went to the shrine and did a pray emote. Someone immediately bit me. . Did quest and came out to someone playing monster mash dub step on their mic. It was pretty epic lol. Don't pay anyone. It's stupid and a good way for an [SNIP] to steal your money.

I have two vampires: one got bit at level 20 for free (after being scammed once earlier, and then standing/doing emotes at the shrine for ~2 hours) and the other got bit at level 12 (stood at shrine for about an hour and no one was offering for less than 10k, paid a nice vet 7500 gold and got bit, no scam).

If you can't travel to anyone, you can actually get to the shrine yourself. Just look at your map to see where you have to exit on your current zone to enter the next zone, place a marker, hop on your mount, and start heading along the path towards that edge of the map. Depending on your alliance, you don't have to go through all of the zones to get to the final one (where the shrines are located); for example, in the Daggerfall Covenant, you can reach the final zone (Bangakorai) from the second zone (Stormhaven).

There are pros and cons to vampirism. It complements magicka builds nicely, but there's that pesky fire damage to think about and the slow health regen. Still, there's no downside to trying it out; you can always cure yourself.

If you decide to go to the Vamp Shrine, make sure you have some gold in your inventory and are opted in to Area Chat. Slot some entertaining emotes on your quick select such as a dance, prayer, kowtow, etc. From there, just listen to or participate in the chat and hope for a free bite. If you do manage to nab a rare freebie, be sure to either tip and/or thank that player profusely to encourage more behavior like that in the community. If you do pay for one, try to gauge the trustworthiness of the player as best you can and ask if it's possible to set up a half-before-bite-half-after-bite payment plan to minimize your chances of getting burned. Also look at the player's level: vampire takes a while to level to 6, so I'd be wary of anyone below level 40 offering bites for gold (it's possible for a lower level to have vamp nearly maxed, it's just more unlikely the lower you go).

I have been bitten without being in a guild,and never paid for it.Two of my chars were bit.If you can get to the Rift,go to the Fallowstone wayshrine.Then find the small village with a wall of long sharp spikes surrounding it on two sides,not far from the shrine.Ride through it and on the far side,hugging the mountains is a path going up into into the rocks.Go there and ask any one of the Vampires there to bite you.This is where I was bitten both times.You might have to ask a few people,but usually one will help you out for free. They didnt seem too snooty either.I've seen posts where people say they either are rude to you,or want a lot of money,but I havent found any that were this way. I hope this helps. :}

^This. My Ebonheart Pact Vampire got bit for free here. Before that, I did get scammed, but it was *only* for 4k (cheap in comparison to what bites go for elsewhere, but still hurt) and the few other people I did meet at the Rift shrine seemed pretty laid back. When I got bit in Bangakorai (Daggerfall Covenant), it was crowded, loud, even a bit hostile at times, and bites were rare and weren't going for less than 10k. Definitely a different atmosphere.

Just go to the shrine and you might get lucky. I went to kill the world boss then went over to the shrine afterwards and someoe randomly bit me.
