Werewolf/Vampire noob questions

At level 20, is it okay to look for someone to make me on? i know there's a question line...if I wanna remove the disease can I do so?

Do both of a timely debuff...like I know vampire gets a bigger debuff every 30 mins but what about werewolf?

Can I go werewolf after going vampire? Or once I choose, I can only stay in that skill tree (even after getting the disease removed)?

How much does it cost to remove the disease?

Am I forced to use my vampire/werewolf skills? Or can I use my class and weapon skills as well?

You can remove werewolf/vamp status by talking to a npc in the mage guild for a small fee. Less than 1k if I remember.
Then you can choose to become one of the two or just human if you wanted.
Werewolfs don't have the time debuff like vampires has.
Except you can eat corpse to keep your werewolf transformation longer.

Oh alright thanks, I just wanted to make sure I had to be one over the other, and once I choose one I can't go back. Plus it would kinda suck if I could only use vampire/werewolf skills...

    Thanks for the info :)

Yes, the infection as well as the full affliction can be removed.

Werewolf does not have a worsening weakness like Vampire health regeneration, but instead has access to its abilities only when and if in werewolf form, which lasts 30 seconds upon activation (but can be extended by abilities and passives).

Yes, you can do both on one char, after getting rid of one, you can do the other. Please make sure that you reset your skillpoints prior to removing the affliction, otherwise you temporarily lose the skill points invested in the cleansed skill line until you re-acquire the same again.

It costs 62 gold to remove the infection and 612 gold to remove the affliction after completing the respective quest line.

As a vampire, you can always mix and match abilities. As a werewolf, you cannot use any werewolf skills (except of course the ultimate that transforms you) in human form and you can use only werewolf skills when in transformed gestalt.

They are "unusable" for the time being. Re-infect with vampirism and they are back and available. Then reset them, don't distribute any in the vampire line and get yourself cured again.

Well, after curing, the skill line goes "dormant", so for the game's purpose they are not there anymore. I can see that happening during programming.

That said, I do agree. A reset should also free the skill points in a skill line that is temporarily unavailable. But alas, it is the one money trap all of us ex-transformers fall into once. Consider it a gold sink >:)

Weeeell I guess I do have some spare change I could throw at getting my 3 skill points back... I'm just too damn lazy to get reinfected, do the quest, re spec again and then cure :o

I'd wait until a time you really need those effin 3 points otherwise your build goes poop. Don't bother before.

I must admit that I would love these three points... have distributed ~290 now on my first main and still could use another 40...

Oh wow! I didn't realise there were enough skills to use up all those skill points!

That goes only for the obsessed players like me. I just NEED to have every skill in every tree I use - useful or not...

As a note: You can become a Vamp at level 20, but since the Vampire line advances based on the regular XPs you earn (unlike Werewolf which advances based on kills) you will spend a long time with a Fire Resistance penalty and not a lot of Vampire skills/powers to show for it.

At higher levels the raw amount of XPs that a quest rewards goes up, so it's easier to Vamp out then and earn up to Rank 10 for all the skills and passives.
