Thinking of Picking Up PS4 Version

zardenurghanb14_ESO
So right now I play on a laptop and the fps I have is bad...most of the time under 10, and yeah I could drop the quality of the game to the bare min but I really don't want to. That is why im considering getting the PS4 version however there is one small issue holding me back from that namely...text chat. See I don't use a mic for my PS4 (mostly because I lost it oops) and because of that I'd have literally 0 way to communicate to the other players (I feel bad for anyone hard of hearing or deaf that plays on console). This being an MMO and not a single player game with a multiplayer online co-op or pvp FPS style play Id feel well alone in a world that is supposed to be lively. Anyway back to my topic is it worth getting the console version if I have no way to communicate with other players or should I wait to see if the native controller support for pc would be any better?

    1) No text chat

    2) Shield stackers

    3) Annoying dogs, music, people in area voice channel

    4) Constant crashing

    5) Every siege is uncoordinated, mostly follow the leader (voice chat sucks so much)

    6) No add-ons

    7) Some stats aren't even displayed in the Character Menu

    8) No text chat

I'm enjoying the PS4 version of the game. So far I've been able to do everything solo. Sure I've only pugged spibdleclutch or whatever it's called. But I'm having a blast treating this game like a single player game.

Hopefully text chat comes along, but until than best single player game ever!

Just get a decent computer that will run ESO. You'll thank me later.

Having no text chat is a huge issue on the console, at least for myself and everyone I play with. If you are concerned by the lack of it without having experienced it's absence, I'd caution you that it's very likely you'll find the reality of playing without it to be a huge disappointment.

I see. My recommendation still stands. Stick with PC. Reduce your settings if you have to. Console simply isn't worth the hassle.

1: Voice Chat is fine when you use Guild chat with all 18+ chill people

2: Not even a big deal. LTP

3:You can turn off Area Chat, it's amusing though to listen to some people. This isn't our first occurrence with people on Mic's either....

4: We haven't had a significant patch since release, Pc was the same during their release.

5: Siege are really coordinated. It's easy to follow the leader yes but also easy to get specific information from competent team member's. It's all about the Guild bro.. You have no idea what pvp is like on console if you think it's uncoordinated.

6: Not that big of deal. EVERYONE has no add-on's. Level playing field.

7: You don't even need to see said stat's because you should know if your wearing said stat's.

8: It would be nice to have for selling or looking for gear. However you will make friend's VIA voice chat and have no need to look for player's for raid's/pvp group's. Guild store's are suitable to sell and buy from anyway.

If your not into Voice chat, stay with PC and wait. The game would be terrible without it.

Voice chat is so sick in this game though, sure there are the kid's/dog's etc. However the people you meet can be some of the most down to earth people. I've laughed so hard because of people in this game. I'm so happy i bought it.

As a casual mostly solo PS4 player I am enjoying ESO ... if I was intending more intense playing, especially group, I would be back to my PC version in a flash. (PC -> console transfer at the right time)
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Voice chat is a poor second best, but it works in 4 man groups well.

I have to say the lack of text chat is the biggest irritation I currently have playing ESO on the PS4.

eh...I can live with it for now.

I had a bit of trouble with a few world named enemies at first, so I came back a level or two later and taught them who was boss.

I wouldn't buy it honestly. I had the XB1 version and the game felt dead. I don't like voice chatting with strangers, call me anti social, it's just weird for me. Only way I do that is if it's a friends friend. But anyways, I did try the voice chat feature. But either it wouldn't even work(probably fixed by now, idk), or people were just being too freaking loud to even get their attention. It's complete crap, I had to create an xbl party for myself so I won't have to hear anybody.

Now that I'm PC, I'm completely enjoying the game. It's like moving out of the projects to an actual owned home in the suburbs.

I've got friends who play both, It's unanimously agreed console version is more fun.

Much larger population that will only continue to grow.

Voice chat in guild/group chat is great, saves using teamspeak etc.

Everyone who didn't wishes they transferred across when they could.

They're only having more fun because it's there preferred platform. Only Voice Chat in guild/group is terrible for many reasons.

They may be having more fun because they're just use to playing with the same people, however objectively speaking PC is vastly superior.
