Way too close for a 56" television, but in my quest to burn my retinas from eyeballs and melt my eyeballs out of my skull with 8 hour PvP sessions in which blinking more than 4 times means death I can never be to close!!!!......
But really, I sit way too close and it's probably a latent PC gaming habit to have my face mashed against the screen like a little kid at a candy store window.

So, if your TV is less than 75 inches, 10 feet is too far away.Way too close for a 56" television, but in my quest to burn my retinas from eyeballs and melt my eyeballs out of my skull with 8 hour PvP sessions in which blinking more than 4 times means death I can never be to close!!!!......

Not really, your optimal distance is about 7.5 feet

Yet a lot of us still do it.

Ha-ha! I play on the edge of my bed pretty much but I actually have a computer chair I roll over to sit on for I can lean back and relax. Like you said playing hunched over on the bed sucks on the old back.
