@ZOS, we need more round shields at high level

A lot of the low level shields are awesome looking: breton, imperial, khajiit, nord, bosmer, they look like proper round shields that would be used as a buckler or large buckler. At high levels, however, all of the shield styles are either kite or tower shields - the only one that remains round is the nord shield, which is still (despite every other shield being made primarily of metal) a wooden shield for some odd reason.

Can we get some more designs like the low level imperial/breton/dwemer shields at higher levels, please? I dont need a shield bigger than my character, and these things look akward as hell on some character types.

Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

Heh last night I was thinking we need some big man sized tower shields instead of all these small ones

Some tower shields would be ok, but one of my characters is a female tank and the big kite shields just look ridiculous, I'd much rather have something like the low level imperial or breton shields.

It would be nice if once you maxed out crafting you could change an items appearance for some kind of material cost. I know sometimes I get a new item and don't use it because its ugly.

Agreed, so many low level styles look better

Here are a couple of styles of shield I'd like to see in-game:

I'd also love it if, when you're crafting an item (or possibly as something you can do to an item after it's crafted), you could choose to give that item the appearance of a lower-level version of the item in the same racial style. So if you really like the way the mahogany Redguard shield looks, you can choose to have your nightwood shield look like it. I'd be OK with this costing some mats to do.
