Suggestion to have the loyalty reward program back in the game

kamikaze590
Hello everyone I am creating this thread because I want the Loyalty program to be put back in the game. And yes I understand that the Loyalty program was for the loyal pc players who dealt with all the bugs and glitches that this game had to offer on release and throughout, but If you can't put the Loyalty program back, then make something new. Maybe they could offer in game items for each month you have eso plus, for example maybe on each month you have Eso plus the rewards would get better, for example maybe for the first month you would get something that would benefit you in game like a potion that gives you 200% more xp for 24 hours and then the next month you would get a cool pet and the next month a exclusive costume or armor piece or etc..And why wouldn't Zenimax make a program like this? I don't know about anybody else but I sure as hell would spend a few extra dollars a month to get a few cool rewards. Not only would the rewards get people to subscribe but it would also get people to come back to the game. I mean sure the rewards need to be cool and unique to impress the community, because the least thing anyone would want is a useless thing or item that does nothing for you in the game. I hope Zenimax reads this thread and considers this idea.

Change your title, use a synonym. That particular P-word isn't allowed.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I'd love to have two things in the game:

    1) Continuation and improvement of the loyalty program.
    2) Rewards for buying lots of Crowns. Like for every 7.000 Crowns you buy, you get something nice.

I think a loyalty program could be made in the form of crowns. For example: rather you pay monthly or buy them out right, as you earn crowns a scale will go up. When you hit certain mile stones you will earn a reward. That would allow for loyalty regardless of the membership option you choose. It would motivate more players to either have that 1500 crowns a month from ESO plus or earn it in a less stable way by buying crowns as new items and DLC come and people feel they would be rewarded for the money they spend. But the rewards should stay cosmetic or consumable. Mounts, pet, costumes, or XP boosts, hp/stm/mag regent or refill pots. Things like that. Maybe with a obviously high loyalty, a helm, crafting motif or crafting upgrade items.

I always considered that the reason they dropped the loyalty rewards was due to the manpower needed to figure out who gets them and deliver them. I was always under the impression that it was a lot of manual work, probably supported by database queries, and could have been prone to error and insanity. Insanity for both the customers and employees.

Of course, the rewards were pets and pets are in the Crown Store, so a rather diluted reward. That, however, does not stop them from being creative about this.

If ZOS wanted to keep people spending money on subscriptions in a B2P world, especially during the Interregnum between Tamriel Unlimited and Console release, a loyalty program would have been a valuable idea. A little worm for the hook probably would have kept a number of people subscribed that did not end up subscribing.

Rather than spending the development money to create an automated process, if it was a manual one, they just dropped the plan.

I do think that it is a good idea for it to return. The could do it in a number of ways. The obvious way is what they had before. Subscribe for a number of days and at the end of that time get a reward. I am partial to the monthly perk that is only good for that month, and to add a little challenge, only to accounts that have actually renewed. That means that on the second month of the subscription, the perks would start. Drop the subscription, dial is set back to zero.

For perks, I would prefer that they don't pile pets and costumes on us. I like the idea of a month of "extra 10% gold in chests" or a month of "10% reduction in crafting research time" and things like that. Nothing game breaking and nothing super valuable, just a perk that lasts a month.

They could continue to do the "subscribed for X days" stuff in conjunction with this, just to build long term subscribers. Those rewards could be minor but unique costumes and pets not available in the Crown Store (paid for already by subscription). Yeah, probably recolors.

I personally think there should be a subscriber ONLY section of the Crown Store and I would be cool with items that have a "subscriber duration" requirement.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.
