Whitestrake’s Retribution or Hundings Rage with Ashen Grip?

Going for a full Stamina DK Imperial build, I mostly play PVP. Will be using Two-Handed with Bow.

What would be better to use? Also open for suggestions.

Simple just decide if you want more survivability or damage.

If you play your ability's right you should be ok just going with full damage as Reflect + GDB should keep you alive if your not reckless.

But whitestrikes will save you from dieing to those nb gankers.

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

My first (and still main) character is an Imperial Templar who has used 2h and bow from pre-launch last year. I currently use 5 pieces of Hundings and 5 pieces of the Hawk's Eye set (vr14).

I'm an 8-trait crafter in almost all armor, so have experimented with a variety of crafted and dropped set combos. Ashen Grip with Hundings is a good combo for leveling, non-vet PvP, and the lower vet ranks. It will boost your weapon crit a lot.

Like @leepalmer95 said, first decide if you want more survivability or more damage. It's hard to get both when limited to the crafted sets, unfortunately.

Also, weapon/spell crit used to be very important in PvP, but my understanding is that changed with the release of 1.6 earlier this year, and weapon/spell damage became more desired. So, if you want to max your weapon damage, I would recommend stacking as much as you can. Currently, there are only two crafted sets that boost weapon damage. They are Ashen Grip and Torug's Pact. Combine those with jewelry that boost weapon damage and, depending on your character's level, you should be pretty powerful. There are plenty of ways to boost health -- 17 crafted sets have a hp boost, including Torug's, which also boosts spell damage.

But again, all of this depends on your current level. If you are vr14 and are relying only on crafted sets, you won't succeed in PvP. Most of the game's current crafted sets are junk compared to dropped sets and what you can buy with AP in Cyrodiil.

Pretty sure Hunding + Ashens is the highest weapon dmg you can get via sets, the flat 300 increase from hundings is that great :P , thats without any dmg % increased such as from rally

It depends on your play style, but both are good.

For PVP I have found regen and sustain to be more important than weapon damage. Much better results in Cyrodiil after switching from a build with over 4k buffed weapon damage and 1800 stam regen to a better build with 3400 weapon damage and 2800 stam regen.

If you have caltrops, you can still get decent weapon damage together with high stamina regen by combining 5pc Ravager with 3pc Air, 2pc skirmisher, 2pc twin sisters, etc. Or if you want to use a crafted set, night's silence is the only one with stamina regen.

I have also tried willow's path, which is helpful at low levels, but at V14 it seems you get much more stamina regen from 3pc Air set and either 2pc skirmisher or 3pc night's silence compared to 5pc Willow's path.

also suggest stamina cost reduction enchants on your jewelry, sharpened trait on weapon and disease enchants
    .

I never built for weapon damage, but I thought the Ravager builds had more. Ravager still has to proc but Caltrops supposedly gives you pretty much 100% uptime.
