New "Two Handed and Shield, Dual Two Handed, Single Handed, Illusion Staff, and Archery" Skill sets?

Healzie
Healzie
I've been going over it a lot in my head and I'd love to see the Weapon Skill sets be able to combine to make more of reason to max multiple ones out.

For Example,

50 Two Handed x 50 One Hand and Shield = Two handed and Shield,

Now while they both are maxed out, it could show up a little sub skill called, "Two Handed and Shield", but the player keeps the passive's from both of the skill sets.
But here's where I find it more intriguing, say instead of leveling up another skill to 50, we put the level to 10, and increase the total amount of EXP needed to level up the skill, adding a new passive for each level gained. As for the Skills, the play can use the basic skills from the original two skill sets, but this new weapon skill set could have an ultimate unlocked at level 10.

I've come up with an ultimate for Two Handed and Shield should it ever be done, and that was to make the character charge at the targeted enemy, and slam his shield knocking them down, and then slamming his two handed weapon into the chest of the enemy.

Dual Two handed could also be taken into consideration and seems like it would be an amazing idea, and seems a lot like titan's grip from world of warcraft's fury warriors.

Single handed is just another skill set that I'd like to see, it doesn't have to be a cross combination of something, just the ability to use just a single handed weapon, one of the passives could make the weapon attacks faster for having saken the other hand of a shield/weapon.

Illusion staff would also be a basic skill set, where you could make the enemy think that one of it's friendly's are an enemy, or use it to make a cloak field to hide you and your allie's, etc.

Now, I haven't got a name for this yet, all I could think of was either Enchanting Staff, or Enhancement Staff, and this skill set could buff yourself and your allies, say with "Thick Skin", to increase their armor, or to debuff their enemies by snaring them to the ground.

Now, for Archery, I think we should Change Bow to Archery, and add in "Main Hand Bows" as well as Cross Bows, The Main Hand bows, could have Off hand quivers that could have enchanted arrows that do Shock, Fire, Frost, Posion Damage.

I also had the idea of creature taming, but not sure what to name it, similar to the woof elf's skill to tame a creature and have it come to your aid, etc.
That's just an idea that I can't fully think out yet.

That was pretty much everything I could think of, what do you guys think, hopefully ZOS will think about adding these into our games in upcoming patches!

    One-handed bows?
    Do you reality?

This game doesn't need ridiculous oversized weapons. A person cannot effectively wield a two-hander and a shield or two two-handed swords unless they are Andre the giant.

No, but if you tied one to your tail, you could do 3... ;)

I see things from wow, and d3 in your ideas. Does that mean you want eso to be more like those games?

No, not at all, I think ESO has the potential to surpass many aspects of those games, these idea's are influienced by other ideas from games yes, but that doesn't mean I don't want ESO to be ESO anymore. These are merely suggestions.

After maxing out 2h + shield, you attach the shield to the 2h weapon and dualwield 2h shield-swords. After maxing that out then attach the shield-swords to each other on the bottom and dual wield those. Then finally attach the last one together perpendicularly for the ultimate quadra shield-sword. From this point you just keep stacking them together.

    Eternal progression....

Well I didn't think I'd need to explain that it's just the basic skill sets that would make a combined skill set.

No, it's two handed weapon in just the one hand, like how you could dual wield two handed weapons in world of warcraft, you didn't just gain two extra arms, your character is just strong enough to do it.

yeah, i got your point. But mainly i see this making people even more OP and the game even easier than it is now. Having access to 2 sets of wep passives at a time is to much power for a game that is lacking is difficulty as it is.

The crossbow and bow + quiver sounds interesting, the 2h sounds a little silly imo. And the illusion magic would be cool but it'd probably be mainly a PvE set with a couple buffs that could work fairly well in PvP.

It could be seen that way yes, but these are just suggestions, things that can be tweaked, it wouldn't have to be that way.

Plenty of games have done the dual wield 2 handed so no problem there, with Bow enchantments you pretty much get the effect you are asking for already, so no need there. Wouldn't mind seeing more magic staff trees, 3 destruction staffs and 1 resto staff is a bit off. Would like to have a dual wield staff ability, staff in one hand and say a dagger on the other for quick melee. Interesting, but doubt we see this anytime soon

    Hehe

When I played LotrO I loved that my Loremaster got to weild a staff AND a sword... but then you have to take into account that someone decided loremasters were to be sort of Galdalf-esk and get away with the ridiculous notion... sure was fun though, lol

Most of the 2H swords are just too long to feasibly be 1H swords.

I kind of like the idea of a blade shield. But disregard the high heels. Those are dumb.

That's true but what I was getting at is that since you've maxed out your two handed, you've learned how to use them easily enough, and if you've maxed out your dual weilding, then you could attempt to play as a dual two handed and you'd learn how to play it better, in a character knowledge sense. But just being able to do it from the start would be whack.
