High Elf Templar Healer

So I recently made a templar character and I just had a couple of questions. First, I will be healing at end game but for the time being is there anything I can do to boost my dps a bit more? I'm currently running destructive clench, puncturing sweep, aurora javelin, reflective light, and breath of light. Second question is if there's a certain crafted set I can use, if so, which one would be most beneficial. As of right now I'm using 5 Magnus Gift and 3 Seducer including the weapon.

If I can get some input on this it would be much appreciated, and if I'm doing something wrong please feel free to give some constructive criticism, thanks!

P.S. would it be beneficial to be a vampire, just for the magicka regen bonus?

You might want to look at this link for possible DPS skills to try; he uses DW, but Destro is great for any magicka build.

Definitely pick up Inner Light (morph of Magelight) and possibly Structured Entropy (morph of Entropy) from the Mages Guild tree. Instant boosts to spell critical and spell damage. Also, once you unlock it, I'd recommend using Impulse (Destro staff skill). Haven't heard anything bad about it and it's a part of a lot of Destro staff DPS builds. Your crafted sets are magicka oriented, so you can't go wrong there. What's "best" to use is subjective; I'll link you to a page that shows you all the crafted set bonuses and you can decide for yourself what suits your build best.

If you want to go Vamp, then that's up to you. You do have to be wary of the fire damage though (which will be reduced significantly in a coming update, but still), especially considering your essential role as a Healer. If you feel you can compensate for the negatives and are attracted to the magicka potential, then by all means go for it. You can always cure yourself if you decide it's not for you. Good luck getting bitten though! I doubt you'll find any NPCs alive to contract the disease from, so you'll likely find yourself hanging out at the vampire shrine praying for a kind soul to give you a free bite. Be conscious of scammers if you pay for one, and don't expect it to be cheap. Negotiate and try to do a half-before and half-after payment plan if you can. The quest you get after being bitten can be difficult depending on your level; I was able to faceroll it pretty easily on my level 20 DK Fire Mage, and semi-kinda-sorta-somewhat "faceroll" it on my level 12 Sorcerer (mostly--almost entirely--because of my summoned Volatile Familiar, which you don't have access to as a Templar).

    Hope that helps

If you use dual wield for increased spell damage, 5 Seducer and 4 Magnus, you can't go wrong.

Thanks for the input but ever since my OP I've reached VR 1 on my templar and I did indeed go vamp for awhile but I saw that the weakness to fire outweighed the benefits as of right now. I actually just got rid of vampirism today because I read the upcoming patch regarding vampirism and it's benefits and I don't think having an ability from vampire tree will be something I will be doing anytime soon. I'm working on getting entropy but acquiring the lorebooks have proven to be quite a tedious task.

Yup, that's the route I went with with the exception of the dual wield, but I will be picking it up soon. Thinking about making the dual wields Torug's Pact for the added spell damage bonus.
