Dealing damage is actually very profitable too. Add some ranged damage abilities, stay behind your allies, heal & res them, hit enemies, put sieges, defend resources. In the end some emperors are not that useless xD

The best emperors are those that fight along zergs, keeping
the zerg alive as long as they can.
But lets put aside which emps are good or bad, this is about
the best build to become Emperor.

@TagaParti While this build indeed seems to be very well thought out when trying to become Emperor i would like to add that your race choice should always be Khajiit. Since you are spamming healing springs to keep the zerg alive you need the addotional defense from "robust" to sustain yourself while your minions do rhe work. Also the stealth passive is very usefull for "waiting for reinforcements".

Completely ineffective. Playing along side the zerg gets you top 10, you won't get Emperor doing this, the zerg will.

Yeah, you dont make any AP running behind some massive zerg spamming Leechagen and Caltrops. Enjoy getting like 2-10 AP a kill because to much allies around and the enemy already died like 100 times.

get ~5-10competent players who want to help you.
play first day of campaign where your faction does not have emp.
go to a random resoruce in enemy territory.
farm there, leave defticks to emp-to-be.
if wiped, choose a different location.
once emp-to-be is about 200 to 300k ahead of #2, go to bed.
get up at some ungodly hour and flip keeps.

For some reason AD late night sees to have no free lance healers. I went full heals last night and saw one or two running with their grop, few stepping in to rescue more =s

I earned mine by mostly ganking with a partner near resources. The problem isn't getting to 1st, it's having enough friends to come help you flip the map once you're in position.

First of all, you dont want to farm your AP on a campaign that is not so frequently flipping.

But the less frequently it flips, the less opposition you'll have from within your own faction. But nonetheless, your point is very valid.

This will only work if you have no competition the leaderboard. You'd be better off having a strong Magicka 1vx build with rapid regen on your off bar and alternate between killing and healing allies. Even then a small group of good players can make AP faster.

No. Solo roaming and healing zergs provides most AP. You can chunk 10-30k AP in minutes every time you heal a zerg vs zerg fight.

If there's a competent group in the thick of the fight, they will make at least as much as the leech healer, if not more.

Yes but you're AP gain is completely dependant on the existence and success of an ally zerg which doesn't already contain many healers. What happens when nothing is really happening on the server or your faction isn't getting any kills? I've had a lot of experience on the leaderboards and have helped a lot of people get emp and I've watched people do nothing but spam heals till their heart is content and only make 200k AP / day and they generally end up stuck in 3rd or 4th place on the leaderboard while people who kill large numbers end up in #1.

the Emperor is/was supposed to be the person who helps the server win the most... not people who just AFK AP farm all day long. What good is AP farming if your faction is in Second/Last Place in the Campaign?...

In some campaigns its about all there is left to do. It gets to a point where your faction will not win and after that its about AP.

Some couldn't careless about the result of the campaign from day 1 just AP.

Not many people care about the campaign scores anymore, especially with how many battles are determined by lag and the campaign rewards suck. So what is left to care about? ... AP
