What has changed?

Hello fellow Elder Scrolls fans!

So, as I said I would, I ended up quitting.
There are various reasons, most of which I will avoid, but I wanted to know the following:
  • Do we have controller support? (PC)
  • Any news on expansions/ DLC?
  • Is the crown store still heavily prioritized?
  • Have there been any changes to subscription costs/ benefits?
  • Are there any other major changes over the last few months that would make it worth coming back?

Got a new PC, considering coming back, maybe even subscribing, but not if everything's still the same.

Well, thank you all for your input. If a mod sees this please feel free to close the discussion.

Same story with me. I suggest checking out the forums. From what I've been reading, it seems like not much has changed really. Beta bugs are still not fixed, poor client performance, Cyrodiil lag is still huge, still the crappy kiosk system, and on and on down the list. Not enough has changed to get excited about IMO.

No PC controller support. We are getting Imperial City DLC at the end of next month. Yes, tons of stuff including overpriced limited time offers in the crown store. No change to subscription cost or benefits. Tons of stuff changing with the next major update.

@OrangeTheCat - Well, that's a shame. Guess I'll go back to other things. Try again in another couple months.

If you bought it once you can play whenever you want and it takes just few hours to make an opinion. So play the damn game and make your own mind.

That's my plan. But if Camelot Unchained comes out that's where I'll be and ESO will be a distant memory.

    Who are you?

No official PC controller support. No talk about it.

Imperial City DLC on August 31. PVP zone with PVE content. There is also a base game update that comes out at the same time.

No changes to subscription costs or benefits. Store emphasis is about the same. They recently added XP boosters both in the game and in the store.

Console release is the biggest thing since March.

@PBpsy - New PC. New SSD/ HDD. Would have to install the game first. Not worth the time or space. Took less time to get an answer on the forums.

    @Gyudan - Thank you.

With free to play (well sort of) worth trying.

I left ESO for a while and personally I think the only difference for me since coming back is the Justice system. I'm a casual, mostly solo player.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

You'll just have to search the forum. There are a lot of changes coming to PvP. For example. PvP buffs will no longer apply outside of Cyrodiil. Former emperors will no longer get perks from being a former emperor, only current emperors will get the perks and buffs. Nerfs, nerfs, and more nerfs. 20+ new armor sets coming with the Imperial City DLC. The level cap is being increased from VR14 to VR16. The XP needed per VR rank is being reduced from 1 million to 850k.

    Those are the highlights.

    .

I did a quick math on that, you still need to grind 30% more Veteran Exp to reach Vr16 than you had to reach the original VR10. It's still quite a grind.

Well it has been more than a year and i could say that they didnt change anything important. Yes level cap or other buffs, nerfs etc. but there is HUGE and primary issue when ESO's first day and that is LAG. After a year if there is still lag issues in Cyrodiil to be honest i dont care about the other changes. Because i cant play properly so why would i care Imperial City or what ever city they gonna open? ESO needs to clear endless lag before everything else. Well maybe it just me being sassy but i dont want to pay for lagging in Cyrodiil anymore.
