Not sure what the campaigns are and would like someone to help me understand please

    They are basically separate instances. They also have different durations, with the longer campaigns giving better rewards for winning. So kind of think of them as separate, alternate realities.

    Campaigns are different instances for the massive zone of Cyrodiil. Cyrodiil is in the center of teh world map and is where there 3 alliances are at war. It is a PVP and PVE zone. Each alliance has their home territory and are trying to invade and take from teh enemy alliances territory. the main PVP goal is to take enemy keeps, get teh enemies Elder Scrolls, and crown an Emperor from your side. This zone also has alot of PVE, you can kinda think of it as an open world PVP server from other games. There are many towns with quests, as well as exploring, anchors, skyshards, books, and dungeons to complete.

    As for the campains, if you are under level 50 you will want to join a Non Vet campaign. After you are vet level 1 join the same campaign as your main guild. You Cyrodiil campaign is a persisitant world always with a war going on that you can port to and leave at any time.
