So i hit a sorcerer with soul strike yesterday...

Didn't even scratch his health. Right now it's supposed to do 15546 DMG. And he managed in that two seconds to get off 4 spells and take me out instantly. My question is, does sorcerer have a skill to negate 15546 DMG or was this guy using a lag switch? His spells all seemed to be queued up and hit me at the same moment.

That's not very good damage for Soul Strike, but more importantly it's a channeled ability. Most decent players, even non sorcs can heal or ward through it.
