Cyrodil - Magic dissapears!!?

Hello, I am a level 41 Sorcerer and I am not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same problem as me, but more often than not when I am trying to do my thing to defend the Aldermiri dominion in Cyrodil, the spells I cast seem to be invisible and my staff doesn't work. It's quite frustrating when you are in the middle of a battle and trying to whoop some tush!

Thoughts and advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

This happens quite often in large battles, and a lot of times the only fix is to relog.

Spells still work, you just won't see the visual effects. Extremely annoying.



Unless you are talking about server lag, where no spells connect at all. That's a whole other thing...

I'm on XBox and this is the most common PVP issue I have. It usually happens when there are 100+ people fighting in a small area. It's not every time, and it does get fixed by re-logging. On a side note I've only had lag in Cyrodiil once in 2 months.

I had this problem last night when i was running around Thornblade (xb1) with my guild. I didnt notice that it was laggy at all, but i could not see any spells being shot/cast, the seige projectiles were invisable (weird glowing orb if it was fire or lightning) and no arrows would appear.

This resulted in many unexpected deaths.

It kinda pissed me off to to try to ride my horse up stairs to the top of the wall just to run by invisble seige shots to barely survive to run into a 10 man group of vr14 PC transfers.

IF i ever run into a DEV irl, i want to see how they react to riding their mount up any stairs, run a gauntlet of invisable spells to have a person with 1k more CP than them waiting to one shot them with a AOE spell.....I would pay a rather hefty amount to see that to be honest.

In on ps4 and same thing happen.
Super annoying bc i cant see if my crystal shard is intant hit or not.
Just destroying my build basically.

Welcome to the lag delay that is ESO PVP. This happens nightly on the NA PC server at times. Plus you will also experience the rubber banded effect. You'll run forward only to have your character immediately rewind back to a certain spot. It happens when there's a big group of players in the same proximity.

Yup. Or hit the 999+ latency and you just hope that anything you're doing will stick. Just be careful relogging after it happens. I fell from the sky near Roebeck upon a /reloadui.

I'm on PS4. Thanks for your input all. Really appreciate it. It is very annoying though, the visuals are something I enjoy the most about the game and when they are taken away it's not half as enjoyable.

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this but when you say try relogging, does that mean just log in and out?
