There's always been a lot of lipservice supporting roleplayers in ESO...but precious little for us in the game itself. While I am glad Men'Do is getting this neat spotlight I have to wonder:

Where's the character customization features we've been begging for since launch...like the barber shop, among others?

Is player housing being worked on AT ALL?

Guild cities?

Better cosmetic/appearance options for vampires?

Toggleable werewolf or werewolf polymorph costume?

New hairstyles and makeup options?

Better policing of player harassment? (Which apparently ZOS believes only happens to roleplayers and is therefore not worth addressing, see: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/162311/harrassment-already-a-larger-problem#latest )

When is all this great talk going to translate to things we'll actually see in game?

RPing on consoles is even worse!

No text chat means voice acting only and everyone talking over one another. It's a mess

I don't even bother with it any more which is a huge shame as I used to love role playing in my role play games.

Yeah I can't figure out why the RPG portion of MMORPG is constantly getting left out of these games. The really galling part if that ZOS KNOWS a large part of the draw of ESO is for the potential roleplay because of all the lore surrounding this game and the players who are passionate about that. So they ADVERTISE this and USE their roleplay community to hype it....and then totally let us down. But with the B2P model they've already got your money once they've lured you in so I guess they feel they don't actually have to do anything else.

Yeah...I might be a little bitter.

Why do we even bother on the official forums. I first came on here because I thought the OFFICIAL forums would be the best place to get news and updates for ESO... lol @ myself

That's also been an incredible frustration. Why on earth (or Nirn!) was this info posted on reddit by a ZOS employee but NOT here???? It happens constantly and no one "official" will address the issue when people ask about it here.

EDIT: Ahhh...I see your correction Gidorik! So, I take it back...this time. Sadly, it does remain a truism that one can OFTEN find more information given by official SOURCES on reddit rather than on the OFFICIAL forums.

It is worth noting that all of the suggestions mentioned above are wanted by the community as a whole and have been requested from a few different points of view.

Harassment goes both ways however, I fancied trying to see what all the fuss was about and tried to join in on a session that was in Skywatch and the dogs abuse I got for doing so certainly doesn't make me feel sympathetic towards your plight. Where I know that may not be how all roleplayers may act it is worth noting that ####`s will be ####`s

Roleplayers aren't the only ones who want that stuff. Character recustomization is universally wanted. The only answer that I've seen is that they're working on a barbershop, but it takes a while because those same developers make other content, as well. The Crown Store and IC have taken precedence since the console launch, I assume.

When are we going to see racial passive rebalancing and race change? They never come out against these things either. They just sit on the fence and placate us by telling us that they're thinking about adding it in the future.

I'm actually quite surprised at how quickly this "materialized" for the reddit user. He is quite clever, I just read through his post that is less than a month old.

Men'Do is an interesting name. "Do" is a honorifics meaning Warrior but I can't find what "Men" means.

Also, this would have been a much more interesting addition to ESO if it was an in-game type event. Too much is done out-of-game. I mean... why not have a monthly "Men'Do" periodical that everyone gets in their mail? Or have a little (yes... like a child) Khajiit standing on a stack of books "selling" the latest copy of "Men'Do's Khajiit Tales (Tails?)" for 100 Gold?
