fastest way to obtain clothing traits?

Hi just wondered what is the best way for me to obtain a trait so I can research it?

Either buy what you're looking for from guild vendors, or check with those in your guild to see if they can craft lvl 1 gear with the traits you are wanting to research. Checking with guild mates will be the best bet imo.

If i deconstruct an item with the trait will they 100% give me the trait?

Search the guild stores, particularly for cheap drop sets.

Other than that, keep a list and hang on to any you find. If space is an issuse, teach an alt the trait and have them make the item for your crafter when they have a research slot open. FYI, ESO tools for Android is a great way to track your research.

No, you only have a chance of getting the trait gem. You need to research to learn a trait.

Research is the last icon on the right when at the crafting station.

Yes, you will learn the trait if you research it. Note, get the first two traits on the items you want to make before you learn the third. Time to learn doubles for each item so you don't want to be learning the 4th trait on one thing if you still have two traits to learn on something else you can use.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

If you want e.g. training trait for robes, buy a robe with training trait. Then start researching the robe and you will learn the training trait for robes. The robe is consumed when you start the research.

Researching and deconstructing are two different activities. By researching you will learn traits. By deconstructing you advance your crafting skill and you have a chance to get some materials. If you deconstruct gear with training trait you might get a training trait stone. After you have researched the training trait for robes, you can make new robes with training trait and it consumes one training trait stone, one style stone and some cloth material.

Everyone in my friend group used to make their own stuff. Now we do an RPG-ish thing where one of my friends does Alchemy and researches Medium armour traits, one friend does enchanting and researches Light Armour traits, and I do Woodworking...and Provisioning...and Blacksmithing. My other friends are either too low level or too bad (One of my friends was level 22 while his blacksmithing was level 2, he also didn't know how to use weapon swap). Because I have some medium and light armour traits researched what I did was I made light and medium armour sets with the trait on it that I had researched. I then give it to the respective person and then they can research it. If you have friends that some traits researched you could try that.

All the options above work as I do them as well.

You can also do the following:
    1. Have a buddy send you traits for the armor pieces he finds as they play instead of selling.
    2. If you have multiple characters - always check the armor before selling, it might contain a trait another toon needs, store it in your bank for later research.

I am working on a Medium armor crafting toon and my other 2 toons have feed it about 15 items worth of research. I also have both of those 2 other toons send the medium armor crafting toon all the medium armor they find for deconstruction. That toon is only level 10 but has a clothier level of 16.

Just buy the armor with the traits you need from a guild store or guild trader. If anything get someone to make you the armor with the trait doesn't matter the lvl.
