IC is upon us, and I have a few concerns......

With the release of Imperial City upon us, what is being done about these exploiters? Mainly *insert name I cant say cuz ZoS protects him, *insert name I cant say cuz ZoS protects him,*insert name I cant say cuz ZoS protects him, and *insert name I cant say cuz ZoS protects him. All four are doing that exploit(s) I have recorded videos of . With how IC works, they will dominate small scale pvp. Those bosses that you said cant be solo'd, well when 20k attacks are only doing 10 damage to them, they will solo kill those bosses no problem.

Not only that, they will never lose TV stones because, well, they just dont die.....ever.....and if they do it is because the exploit failed them. Any info on if what they are doing is finally fixed in 1.7? I dont care about punishment they will receive as it is obvious nothing will be done to them since it hasnt been done since the game began. Penalty enough is not being able to use those exploits anymore, though I would not complain if they were banned permanently :P

Any update on this would be greatly appreciated. This is a legit concern here, and is not a discussion on what they are doing, what happens to them should you decide to FINALLY do something, or anything along those lines. I will not be purchasing IC ,though I might buy it just because pvp FINALLY got something more than cold harbour siege, if these issues (exploits) that have been here since DAY ONE, are not finally resolved. Enough of them being able to do what they do. Can someone please give us some info on if it is finally resolved?

They just need to put in a fix for all the overload/3rd bar exploits for sorcs. The mist form exploit you're talking about is the most noticeable, but there are other things that can be abused due to the 3rd bar you get from overload.

Given ZOS' tepid response to dealing with exploiters, I'd expect these things to still be in IC. On the bright side, having a higher population in cyrodiil and aware of the lag and exploits might force ZOS to do something about it.

Unfortunately, xp exploits/abuses/mediocre grind spots get hot-fixed, but for a lot of the real exploits they tend to want to wait until the next major patch to avoid the work of making a new build and pushing it out with the fix.

I wonder if the developers actually play the game.. If any of you are paying attention, you're welcome in my group for an evening. Not an hour passes that we don't see someone or something that is just very very wrong that - as this thread implies - you seem to be ignoring.

for the love of someones god dont derail the thread lol he was talking about using overload to HAVE PERMA TOGGLES.....that is a well known exploit that we wont go into on how to do, but that is what he meant, not having a third bar in general

@Zheg yes, we can only hope but as the track record shows, they are incapable of patching stuff like this in a timely manner. Not bashing with that statement, just pointing out the obvious. Also like to note that there have been a few major patches that have NEVER resolved the exploits I am talking about in the OP. So that statement is null (they wait till the next major patch statement) because they have been here since day 1 and are still here a year+ later

We all know who the exploiters are, and ZoS needs to actually do something about them, Not just let them run free while they are abusing exploits. Every other MMO I played, If someone exploited the game for their own gain, they got banned. If they continued doing it after the first ban they would be IP perma banned.

ZoS, Stop letting the exploiters walk all over you, and the community, they are getting away with things they shouldn't be. Make an example of those exploiting and ban them, just like the bots. If you don't put your foot down now, more and more people will abuse the exploits because they know you'll do nothing and they will ruin the game and experience for tons of people.

IC will be ruined completely if those in question are not resolved. Doesnt matter if they ban the people abusing it, but if they do NOTHING to stop the exploits then IC will turn into a "who can use it better" situation and anyone not using them will be free TV stones. Just wait, it will happen lol if it doesnt happen then they fixed how the exploits worked and my faith in ZoS will have been restored! LET ME SEE THEM PATCH NOTES lol

I think OP is totally right. Without this issue handled, people like this will dominate IC.

People who use exploits like this should:

1) be ashamed that they use these exploits as a crutch for being bad
2) be banned
3) go play hellokittyonline

Multiple videos of these have been released.
Now some people are doing multiple exploits at the same time. They are stacking 4-5 mundus stones, keeping inner light up without having to use the space for toggle, AND mist form 75% damage reduction. How ZOS doesn't see an issue with this is confusing to me. Hopefully it's handled or rendered useless by the time IC drops.

@Jules 100% correct! They need to take care of this or, much like they did with animation canceling, declare these a feature and tell us all how to do them. It is one or the other, inaction is not a solution.........these problems wont go away on their own. When it comes to content like what they are getting ready to release, this is completely unacceptable with the style of pvp they are trying to promote.

Especially when people cry so hard in zone over what they think is a class problem without understanding it's not the class but certain people abusing unfixed exploits. You can't even reason with the QQers cuz they're too mad they died to exploits and also refuse to believe they were exploits. lol

Sadly I think you are right @sixuponthelot which is really upsetting...... a year + later they FINALLY fixed (as far as I know and taking patch notes for face value) the jump through walls BS people were doing....

As someone has already pointed out, when I mentioned the 3rd bar from overload I was only referring to exploits where you can permanently keep up a toggle like inner light even though it's not on your main or 2nd bar. Just wanted to clarify that.

Its funny they actually toggle these exploits off just to deal damage themselves. Then they start losing their fights and toggle it back. Ive been 1v2'ing *insert name* and *insert name* a few days ago, then i pretended that im out of resources on my templar so they tried to burst me down, apparently at that exact moment they turned the damage reduction off and nearly burst me down, but got bursted right back on. Guess what happened when *insert name* guy died? Lol. I wish I could record stuff on my ***** laptop.

@Mr_Nobody I have a video of one of them dying to 30 of us, then I KNEW his buddy wouldnt be to far behind, so I waited while everyone ran off. He tried Rez'n him, and I kept interrupting him. I trolled for almost 10 minutes before the dead one rez'd at base and then I ran from the other one cuz he cant kill me, but I for sure wasnt killing him.

moral of the story, when you cant kill em and one is dead. Just troll them with bashing to stop them from rezzing lol

I mentioned this in another thread, but it's relevant here as well. When PTS launches IC, Why not attempt to duplicate some of these bugs on the PTS. If they're still in, is there no reason it shouldn't be discussed (in the appropriate places) and shared in detail for others to attempt to verify?

I'm not sure if this is a gray area or not, but keeping it strictly relevant to PTS while encouraging other users to attempt the same bugs for consistency reasons is the entire purpose of the PTS, right?

Ah thanks, figured that was what you were saying. I just didn't want newer or otherwise uninformed players thinking the overload bar is an exploit. >_<

It's very sad that playing the game requires some knowledge of what are the exploits and what aren't..
