Same here, but wife and I probably averaged only around four hours of gameplay per week.

the PSN achievements are not a true reflection of ESO success or otherwise on consoles

A number of PC transfers occurred and they will not have achievements carried over into PSN

A number of players are cycling through alts and choosing not to progress one toon to end game quickly

Your statement in itself is contradictory ... you acknowledge a lot of casual players but presume because there is a 6.6% PSN achievement there are many quitting - no sense at all, no evidence at all

.. and btw .. congratulations on your achievement
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

I log on every day.. and would get more than 4 hours in on a Saturday.. I'm slow.. lmao.

As well, as someone else pointed out - within those 8 months I started 2 other characters, so not all my time was spent on my main.

I hit v1 on my first character in July, so nearly 4 months after launch. Don't even ask how long it took me to reach v14. :D

Hmm so 800k+ copies sold on ps4 is being skewed by pc transfers lol.

Im in 3 trade guilds almost every member is vr. I guess its a small grouping but about 1400/1500 of people who actively play are 45+.

I play about 3 hrs a day and have 3 vet toons

I waited until VR 1 to complete the Main Story as well as the Fighters and Mages Guilds. Because not only did I spend a good chunk of leveling in PVP to pick up Caltrops, but also because the items from those quest lines were level synced and I wanted them to use in VR ranks.

I started on PS4 just 2 days after launch. 28 days later i hit V1. Sure i play everyday but i do work 40 hours a week too. And go out with friends on weekends. But i do not have any alts that i play. I just focused on quests and doing everything in each zone before going to the next. That is probably why i'm now halfway to V5 and just entered the V2 zone in silver lol.

My point is people lvl up in mmo's at different rates so it's hard to decide what is considered "too fast" and "not fast enough"

I've been playing since about a week after launch...and I'm still in the early twenties level wise.

Even though I get about an hour in each day, and longer on the weekends. Only one character, but there's so much to do....I usually get distracted on my way to a ques...ooohhh.....logs!

Console stats are going to be skewed if they include everyone who only rented the game for a few days.

Good pont i never thought of people renting an mmo.

Im still going to bet IC sales will be less then 25% of release sales.

I bought on launch day and I'm almost there on my main character. I see no point in rushing through the content, I enjoy playing and I enjoy the stories/quests. I'm also crafting along the way.

Indeed. It's starting to populate now — primarily with VR1 through VR8 toons that are console natives — but when I copied my PC/Mac toons over to the PS4, Craglorn was mostly abandoned the first month or so.

Out of all the friends I made during the pre-vet levels, I am the only one that made it to vet. All the others either quit or made new characters. I was asked to start a new character by a couple of them, but I just can't go through it all again.

I started playing the day after ps4 release. It took me about 4 weeks to get my main to vr14. Getting an alt to vr1 has been much faster, but also far less lonely. On my main, I had entire zones to myself once I hit vet. I'm just starting to see a build up of traffic in my VR10 zone, the Rift. When I was levelling, especially from vr5 upwards, I'd rarely see a single other player in the zone. Dolemans and dungeons always had to be done solo because there just wasn't anybody around.

Levelling up my new vr1 has been a very different experience though. The likes of Alkir and Bangkorai were really busy. It seems as though the bulk of characters are now in their 30s. Coldharbor is far from quiet now though and there are plenty of vr players.

It seems that I'm one of the small number of players who have been really driven to progress quickly. The majority are just taking their time and having fun with the game, rather than rushing on ahead.

Apparently so however renting it then getting hit with 8hrs of patchs would suck.

If you have something like gamefly (which I have) renting a game and worrying about a patch isn't really an issue. You can keep the game for however long that you want as long as you pay the monthly fee. If you are on two or three games plan, its even more convenient.
