The lore side of this is cool but cosmetically, I feel like this will be very similar to the glass motif we're all waiting for.
Ebony is the blood of Lorkhan, so technically anything you forge out of Ebony is Aedric.
Which is why I hate that Ebony is so trivial in ESO. It should be the best material, by far.
As far as style goes, no. There is a specific Daedric style because Oblivion is actually a place where things can be forged. No such thing exists for Aedra.

I think the place for Aedra represented in your equipment is in enchantments rather than the physical gear itself.
Aedric inspiration, not necessarily Aedric craft. There are enough Aedric artifacts to get an idea of how such a divine armor could look like.Ebony is the blood of Lorkhan, so technically anything you forge out of Ebony is Aedric.

I have to agree with the ebony... wish they would redo the crafting scheme anyhow. Oh, well. Maybe they will when they remove veteran ranks... one can hope!Ebony is the blood of Lorkhan, so technically anything you forge out of Ebony is Aedric.

As for aedric style, well... technically the world of nirn is the place of the aedra, much like oblivion is the place of the daedra. And if you ask them, every elf will tell you they are the descendents of the aedra. So...
Aedric style? Try "Ancient Elf" style!

Therefore, lore doesn't need to be exactly in line with the main series games (actually, the main series games' lore isn't always in line with ITSELF, but that's beside the point). Most likely, the events of ESO will NEVER be mentioned in any main series game following Skyrim. So denying an idea like this "because lore" is an unsound argument.
I, for one, am all for a "divine" sort of style, especially for my healer Templar character.

Also, I think as long as they came up with a convincing explanation as to why it exists (and also why it seems to have been forgotten about in Oblivion, where Martin says they don't have artifacts) then they could probably make it happen.
For why it exists, maybe it could have something to do with future DLC? There could be some kind of trial where you must prove yourself to the divines. The best players could get the motif as a reward (becoming champions of the Aedra, they would essentially bless you with the knowledge to create armor that reflects your pure soul).
I'm just throwing ideas onto the table in the hopes that one of them will be picked up. I just think it'd be awesome to have divine armor.

Neither was Redguard.KiraTsukasa wrote: »I've mentioned this once before on the forums, but ESO isn't a main series game.
Why not? Who do you think Cyrus in Oblivion was named for? The main character of Redguard. His story is also sung by First Mate Malvius in Oblivion. So non-main-series games can be referenced by main-series games. Most likely, the events of ESO will NEVER be mentioned in any main series game following Skyrim.

Like Redguard, ESO is part of the Elder Scrolls universe, so lore consistency is desirable.
You can get it again if you become emperor in cyrodil... and wear the costume -only- while you remain emperor. It's -that- exclusive!WhiskeyRiver.AZub17_ESO wrote: »Oh yes!
