Restoring Light Abilities and the passives

OakRaiders228
HI there everyone! first off I'll give you a breakdown of my character then we can work from there

Race: Imperial
Class: Templar

Level:47

With my current gear Attributes are as follows
Max Magicka: 7532/ Recovery 583
Max Health: 13620/ Recovery 176
Max Stamina: 13257/ Recovery 719

Active Effects:
Supernatural Recovery
Boon: The Ritual(Increases Healing)
Stage 4 Vamprisim

Dual Wield/(Still don't know what else I wanna use haha)

Skill Bar
I: Biting Jabs
II: Blood Craze
III: Steel Tornado
IV: Sun Shield
V: Repentance
Ultimate: Nova

So with me being a vampire I run into some issues where a big chunk of my health will go missing due to my weakness to fire. The only move I have off of my Restoring Light line that I use is Repentance, I like it because I cost me nothing and it heals and gives me stamina from fallen enemies when I cast it. Do any of the Restoring Light passive abilities work with repentance? I know the light weaver one increased the duration of Restoring Aura but once morphed it no longer has that cast time shown. I put one point into mending just to see if it would change the amount of health/stamina gained from fallen enemies because sometimes this game isn't straight forward but the number remained the same.

So my question to everyone here that has more info on this skill line is should I stick with Repentance or use a different move to heal myself. I'm not looking to become a group healer and the only other move I use that requires Magicka is Sun Shield( Which I also don't know if I should morp it to Radiant Ward/Blazing Shield)

Thanks in advance for the help guys

Hmm. According to your stats, it seems you are a Stamina build, correct? Repentance is nice for its passives, and since the cost to cast it is removed for that morph, it's even better for a stamina build. Have you considered getting Vigor (from the Assault skill line, which you acquire from PvP/Cyrodiil)? It currently takes a while to unlock (though I think that's going to change soon), but it's a Stamina heal. I can't say much about it from personal experience as I've yet to get it myself, but everyone's raving about it. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options for a stamina Templars when it comes to healing; Repentance is still probably your best bet if you don't go for Vigor. Of course, there's always Breath of Life for an emergency heal, but you'd lose out on the Repentance passives.

The first passive in Restoring Wrath, Mending, should affect Repentance. You might not have seen a marked increase from one point spent, as it would only be 5% more healing and the tooltip says "in proportion to the severity of the target's wounds". So if you're not near death when you cast Repentance, a difference might be hard to discern. I don't believe any of the other passives would affect that skill.

I'm a bit confused as to what led you to choose vampire though; Werewolf would better compliment a stamina DPS build with its stamina passive, plus it's actually a nice Ultimate for damage-dealing and survivability. Still, if you want to keep Vamp, you can look forward to the fire weakness being reduced significantly sometime soon, so that would definitely help your current build. But I'd give WW some thought for sure.

Also, if you're not looking to be a Healer (which would be incredibly difficult for you as a Stamina Templar), why choose the Ritual mundus stone? The Warrior, the Thief, or the Shadow would all benefit your DPS output much more. If you're having trouble staying alive, mix in a few pieces of heavy armor with your medium armor (which I'd hope you be mostly wearing for the stamina passives).

A Bow for your secondary weapon would give you a ranged option, but you might consider taking 2h for damage and survivability. The last 2h skill, Momentum (morphs into Rally), is an awesome self-heal and a weapon damage buff. It has a long duration too, so you could swap to your 2h bar, cast Rally, and then swap back to DW. Just be sure to refresh Rally every 30 seconds or so during a fight and you're good to go.

Blazing Shield will give you more DPS, but the other morph might give you little more survivability. It's up to you. Personally, Blazing Shield looks a little more tempting from a DPS standpoint.

    Hope that helps
