Lights on, lights off

Hi
I'm regularly getting my lighting effects "bugged" after a few hours play or relogging other characters, which leads me to run the repair from launcher to get it fixed even if for a little while.

The issue is mostly seen at night, visible during daytime aswell although not so evident and affects light sources, as in, i don't see the lights affecting the environment - like street lamps, wayshrines, skills like Sorcerer's Lightning Splash usually illuminate the area a bit and so on. This can be experienced anywhere even when i'm alone inside a building/cave... and makes the game feel... "flat" :)

My Pc specs: Win7 64, i7 950 (stock), HD7850 2Gb (stock), 6Gb ram @ native x1080

Like i mentioned above, logging out and running repair from launcher fixes this but it's starting to become a bit annoying doing this so often and was wondering if this could be fixed with some file editing, tweaking and whatnot - thanks.

I was wondering already when I see the first posting about this issue^^ I was having these since around patch 2.0.12 when I still had Windows XP 32 bit and thought it could be related to this. Now I'm running it on Windows 7 64 bit and I'm still having these issues.
On my end, it were and still are the blue flames of the wayshrines, they appear or they don't (mostly they don't). Also, when I'm on the character select screen to switch characters, it looks like there's some kind of spotlight missing. It adjusts to normal after a few seconds, but I never had this before patch 12.
So apparently no matter what OS or if it's 32 or 64 bit, no difference here. Not sure how to permanently fix this, but good to know it's not only on my end :)

Sounds like a problem with your GPU not flushing it's cache properly, and ends up after a while causing artifacts, in this case shading problems with shadows etc.

Any other games this happens with?

Also try uninstalling your GPU drivers and install it fresh, just in case of corrupted .dll's. I doubt the repair you think you are doing is helping at all, when you close the game.. it is forcing the GPU to flush it's cache and VRAM.

Also do you have any other app installed that has control over your GPU, like 3rd party shader apps etc?

    Hi
I can still see the light source effects but not the glow or real time lighting like when i walk close to it and see my character being affected by it or use some skills and they illuminate the environment.
The issue remains even when i restart the game or Windows and so far, running repair from the launcher seems to fix this. I also don't have any 3d party software for tweaking gfx settings or ingame visuals such as SweetFX.

The reason this caught my eye is because i hardly see visual issues in games i play with my current hardware/software.

I thought some game settings file was getting changed somehow, disabling some lighting effects and running repair resets settings - i'll see if i can find a trigger event for this issue.

    Thanks
