Sorcerer Tank Questions

I have a magicka Sorc (v13) that I play with friends a bunch and I am thinking about making a tank set up for some variety of play for pledges and such. I am wondering two things:

1. If you focus on spell power (e.g., Stormkight armor) is a shield stacking tank viable? This is not for PvP or end trials. Just pledges/DSA etc.
2. If you use Histbark does the dodge chance apply before or after shield impact?

As a side question I was wondering about putting restro on the off bar or S&B on both.

1) im guessing you want to start a magicka based tank. Yes, a shield stacking tank is viable.

2) I might be wrong with this but I believe the Dodge chance comes after the shield impact. The shield would absorb first before the Dodge chance is counted.

Based on utility, both weapons have their uses. In terms of sorcerer tanking however, resto staff is a much better choice as you don't have much self healing abilities.

Imo, set up two offbars, one for resto, the other sword and board. This allows you to be flexible and ready for any encounters that pledges or dsa dishes out.

I tested Shield Stack Sorc tank, didn't work for me. The shields are down too fast and you cannot regain Magicka fast enough. But was some time before, where I wasn't as good as today. Should test it again.

But a regen tank build works very very good. Sustain is everything as a tank. But it's boring, it's just too easy in my opinion. I use histbark and footman and I never die.

Damn I imagine myself with my max Magicka build and 10k health as a tank

I really should try a shield tank build.
