Error 318 and Getting Charged for "Help"

Well, I have been struggling for over 30 minutes now to get my character out of a weird checkered map screen. I loaded the character, after the loading screen I saw her for a second and then another loading screen came up. Then when I spawned in for the second time I was in a checkered blank space. I walked forward a bit and fell off the edge. Now I am in a free fall. I am MAD. I pulled up my map and paid to quick travel to the Harborage. Didn't work. Got kicked from the game completely with 318 error code about spamming?! Then I reloaded again. Same problem, in a free fall. I paid AGAIN to go to a wayshrine, got kicked again. I closed the game, SHUT DOWN my ps4, reloaded and am still free falling. So, then I pay 308 gold in the "help" menu only to get kicked AGAIN with the 318 error code. So ZOS, make a ticket, refund my gold and get my character to load properly. Thanks. PS4: WnderWmn, ESO char: Xulienne 7/18/15 @10:00 a.m. in Stonefalls.

    Paying 308 gold in a help menu !!?

    Repairs I understand but in help menu ? ... maybe its the cost to quick travel ? sounds weird.

    The 318 code has nothing to do with you spamming, its related to hiccups in data flow between your server and your console. Its one of the "known issues" but I don't see a fix at this stage.

    Hopefully one of the mods here will create a ticket for you and your permanent free-fall will be fixed. You could also create another character and submit an in game ticket from that character.
    Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

    Yep, 308 gold and it's not the first time. Another time I got stuck with half my character's body underneath stairs (IT DIDNT WORK - I spawned at the wayshrine still with half my body under the map). I went to help and then "get me unstuck" and it charged me! Can you believe it? I actually thought, before using it, awesome, they created a solution to when I get stuck in the side of a mountain... only to find out they charge you in game gold to fast travel you to the nearest wayshrine. If that's not bad enough, it is more than double the price of just pulling up your map and paying to fast travel yourself.

    On the upside of this, I did take the time (1 hour 8 minutes, to be exact) to call and sit on hold with customer service. I was unstuck by that point, but the rep was very nice and refunded my gold.

    SOLUTION: I got myself unstuck by having a friend join my group and he "travel to player" to me and I spawned in next to him.

    great to hear its been resolved

    if you are in a guild, you can open up the guild roster and port to a guildie as long as they are in a region you are legally able to enter (ie not a wrong faction zone unless you are already Veteran'd into that zone)
