A quest way lower than my level

I went to stonefalls and found a quest I had not previously done, it's a level 12 quest I am currently level 30. Am I right in thinking that I will not get any xp or other bonuses for doing the quest? Will it in any way hinder my progress by doing it?

SahrotRein✭✭✭✭Ofcourse it won't hinder anything. After you complete the quest you will get the correct amount of gold and an item if it's supposed to be given too. But the gold and experiences awarded for completing the quest do not scale - therefore you will get as much of gold and experience that would fit a 12lvl player, not a 30lvl player.

✭✭✭✭✭I honestly don't mind that quests don't level... What I DO mind is that you get absolutely ZERO XP for killing the mobs while you're on the quest.What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

Why would it make sense to get xp from something 20 levels below you? Quest completion xp makes sense because you completed the quest, getting xp for killing a mob 20 levels below you doesn't really make sense in any fashion

So you're a "it hasn't been done that way so it shouldn't be done that way" kind of person, eh? If a player wants to grind 10,000 level 10 mudcrabs to level, they should be able to.
