Ultimate ability button question

I have yet to find an answer to this, so I'll post here.
Sometimes, when my ultimate ability is ready, the button looks a bit different. See next post with image attatched.
It doesn't always do this, and I have found no information on what it is, and no matter who I ask, noone seems to know what it is.
I have no addons installed that does anything to buttons or UI, so I am unsure what it is.
Someone suggested it indicates overcharge, but googling this does not give me any result.
