Spawn killing vamps and werewolves

So, last night I experienced what can only be described as blatant disregard for other players.

A group of absolute plebs were hanging about by the vampire spawn areas waiting to kill any vamps that spawned before anyone could get near.

When someone accosted them, one replied "I don't care, I'm already a werewolf"... another offered to give a vampire bite for 10K.

Sad times, when folk act like that.

Just sharing an experience, happy to say most folk are decent.

Unfortunately this is happening in all the spawn areas. Some people aren't happy if they're not ruining someone else's fun.

Yep. They're a bunch of ... <clears throat> ... . This was common on PC around launch too, but eventually they'll get bored of doing it and won't bother any more.

Something that has been suggested that could be done to avoid this is to phase the spawns out for those players who are already full vamps/ww's, meaning only those who aren't would be able to see them.

Fingers crossed they soon get bored of it, I wasn't too bothered tbh... just ended up heading off to do some other quests when I realised what their plan was.

Would definitely be a good idea to phase the spawns out, might save some folks abit of aggrivation lol

Just make them unkillable like the guards :-D

I take it you never played on PC? It happens a lot to keep the price of bites high. And no they do not need to make them un-killable, nor do they need to change the spawn times, nor do they need to phase out anything. I agree it can suck when players kill them, but at the same time i can see why they do it. I have 2 Master Vampires & a Master werewolf, i camped all 3 so it can be done. The best place i camped for the bloodfiends was near Fallowstone Hall wayshrine. Hope this helps & best of luck!

I have had no luck at spawn sites or the shrine every vampire there wants too much gold.

There should be something done about this as it is unsportsmanlike like and preventing people from getting what they would like to try. I say ban the griefers!
If you get bitten for free shouldn't you also give free bites?

If there is nothing done I'll simply stop playing (not that is any small loss) its just unfair to others.

A little birdy told me if you actually socialize with others, as was intended for a MMO people will just give you one for free. Can we get confirmation on this? Seriously though, it's getting really annoying going to any city and hearing, " werewolf bite 5k, werewolf bite 5k, werewolf bite 5k, werewolf bite 5k, werewolf bite 5k, werewolf bite 5k." Reminds me of ferris bueler where ben stine is just saying bueler over and over and over again.

Even if you do socialise they still demand too high a price. Been there, made some acquaintances, done that. MMOs seem to be full of scammers and the rich getting richer....Rather like real life.

Update! Got bitten by a vampire (bloodfiend) after my second visit to a spawn site. I will be giving bites for free once I level up enough.

Almost freaked out when another player started killing the bloodfiends before another player got bitten though!

Totally agree... scammers a plenty in the game. Hanging about by the shrine offering bites at 5K and 10k whilst hidden under a full suit of armour so no one can see if they are actually a vampire.

Quite happy to offer bites for free when I'm able to.

Congrats! It takes ages to level vampire up as it is exp based and not kill based. Got bitten yesterday as one kind soul fed on me as I waited patiently.

Free bites will be given once I am able to.

Best thing to do is just look for a clan or guild like ours for your pact that offer the bite out for free to help the guild grow, your always going to have trolls in this game but if you just vanish and leave the area at the end of the day you win mate because there the ones who are going to be annoyed

So you would quit because you can't get a bite? There are no rules against killing npc's. Seems so petty to quit over something so small...

Agree with all the replies in this thread, I experienced the same spawn killing when I was looking for a werewolf bite. Now, I can proudly say I have a werewolf and a vampire thanks to my guild mates.

So, If anyone would like a bite, look me up. No gold fee, join the guild and reap the rewards.

all those diatribe could be easily solved by zos with just a little effort:
- quest to get vampirism or lycantropy
- possibility at character creation to start your alt as vamp or ww
- crown store blood potion
- spread diseas all over tamriel with any vamp and ww byte

pretty easy to do, solve the bleak byters marketers problem, and should make happy all those customers that wanna be involved in vampirism or lycantropy.

on my side i would really disable the fighters guilds skill line to vamp or ww, this is because zos are not going to make any sun priest skill line, so to give a vision of balance this could be the proper solution.

I'm seeing a lot of these types of threads again since the console launch of ESO, I remember Zenimax stating it was greifing back at the PC launch to kill the NPC vampires and werewolves to force people to buy bites. Could a Zenimax employee please post here to clarify if this stance has changed? Is this still considered a form a griefing and should it still be reported if people kill the NPCs to prevent people obtaining free bites as Zenimax intended through gameplay? Can a Zenimax employee please clarify this?

yesterday i just spent 62 gold to cure vampirism. role play vamp is not my way, may be i will go a try to ww some days

There should be. Griefing is unsportsmanlike. Folk should be allowed to be bitten by NPCs not forced into paying gold. If a low level wants to be a vampire, let them. If they don't survive the stomping and not get infected it's their problem, right? I was very fortunate in getting bitten for free which is very rare, I might add.
I was level 8 and I imagine the vampire wanted to see if I would quit due to the level the quest is set.
As you see I was successful.
I plan on giving free bites as soon as I am able.
