ESO Sales....#2 Best Selling game in June according to NPD Group!!! Congrats ZOS!

The NPD Group has released the Top 10 Selling Games of June, 2015 and ESO took the number 2 Spot only being outsold by Batman. Below are the Top 10 games sold in June according to the NPD Group:

Software:

1.) Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
2.) The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
3.) Lego: Jurassic World (360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, 3DS, Wii U, Vita)
4.) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
5.) Splatoon (Wii U)
6.) Minecraft (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4)
7.) Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
8.) Mortal Kombat X (PS4, Xbox One)
9.) NBA 2K15 (360, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, PC)
10.) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)

ESO Sold best on the Xbox One followed by the PS4 and then the PC version of the game. These sales reports only represents physical copies of the games, not the digital versions.

I am actually very impressed. I did not think ESO would sell that well to take the number 2 spot. Unfortunately, there are no current reports how many actual copies this represents, but it is still pretty amazing for ZOS to take the #2 spot.

    That did not take long. Just curious, if it is such a turd of game, why are you here posting in the official forums for a game that is turd? When I think a game is a turd, I sell the game and don't post in the official forums.

    Regardless, it sold very well and this can only be a good thing long term. With many retailers having the game on sale this week, they can see another great sales report in July as well.

    I play on pc sounds like you are on console? I play it becuase its free. I'll buy ic with the 3200 crowns I got for subbing . I like the game I just feel it could have been so much better:(

    Sounds much different than the Turd you called it in your earlier post. I played this game since the PC Beta and have enjoyed it even with the issues. It has gotten better and I hope that ZOS takes this success on Consoles and uses that to continue to improve the game. It is just that your first response is calling it a turd was off putting.

    It was always going to be a console game.

    The PC version was simply a beta, and they spent a year polishing it specifically for console release.

    Congrats console users on keeping the ESO franchise alive!

    Yeah, I thought the same thing. I know a lot of people on other forums that were mainly getting it on Xbox One. I wonder if it is because Skyrim sold so much more on the Xbox 360, so 360 owners migrating to a Xbox One would be one of the potential reasons.

    I am just glad that the game sold this well.

    Its a western MMO and Sony's market is fairly balanced whereas Microsoft's is primarily Western. Then again, playing two MMOs is difficult and Sony has FFXIV while Microsoft does not. There are other factors as well, like Xbox being starved of MMOs and that Neverwinter is F2P so taking a break doesn't really hurt anyone.

    Me too considering ZOS always showed the console version on a PS4, and most streamers for the Beta were on PS4s.
