Most Enjoyable Faction? Gameplay wise and Aesthetically

In your opinions, what is the most enjoyable faction? I found EP kind of depressing, played a little bit of DC it was slightly better. AD is the best so far for me, but I can see DC possibly overtaking it dependent on the rest of the story. Then when you get to coldharbour where your faction means zilch. So basically what I'm saying is, which do you think had the best story? Which had the best environment? AD seems most popular, but that's just assumed by the amount of PVPers they have, I originally reckoned EP would be most popular due to it having the previous locales from Morrowind and Skyrim. Also, fav zone in the whole game? I have yet to see the Alik'r Desert and Bangkorai, so I have yet to decide.

It's purely down to personal taste. My own approach has been to ignore the cross-over quests section of the game and play at least one character of each alliance to 50 so as to get the original flavour of the lore and gameworld.

Having played through them all, I have to say, I like DC the best as there is nothing I really dislike about any of the areas or the people in them.

I loved EP through the Morrowind and Shadowfen areas, but absolutely hated the Skyrim stuff. I played Skyrim as well, though it was never a locale of choice for me. I am just so bored of mead-obsessing nords who just want to booze all day and hit things.

I loved Auridon and Reapers March parts of AD, but loathed Valenwood with a passion. Difficult to traverse in places, annoying wood elves and all the green pact stuff just irritated me. Never been a fan of nords or bosmer.

RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

Personally preferred DC overall. AD I found awful. I didn't like the story of that faction one bit, however there was some brilliant quests that I enjoyed.
The one where you have that battle on the ship and there is some massive old snake thingy in the water attacking you.

EP was in the middle I liked quite a bit of that but as you said it was quite depressing. Fire here, fire there. Nords nords nords. They all had there ups and downs but would have to say that I didn't find DC boring one bit.
Not as Technical as you may think.

Haven't played though enough of DC to comment on it, but I like the story line in AD better than EP. However, trying to navigate through the AD maps can be aggravating.

I love the DC zones. As far as the other two...meh...you have to play through them for VR levels (unless you PVP ). I could play 1-50 in DC over and over again. The other 2 zones, I have to force myself to get through them. Just my opinion though.

My favorite is DC and AD come second. I coulden stand EP Towns for some reason and other aspects of the beggining areas.

DC has the most boring race choices for my tastes, but I found the quests and lands pleasant enough.

EP evokes the alien beauty of Morrowind, which is still my favourite game in the series. Shadowfen was interesting to see too but after that... well I think snow's a snooze.

AD wins for me. I'm not a huge fan of Auridon. It's a too cultured kind of pretty for me. But I love Valenwood and Reaper's March.

I prefer DC's Starting area over the other two, especially EP's Stonefall. I never made it past that area in EP due to Stonefall usually being too depressing looking for my taste (anyone played Dofus or Wakfu? That area feels like Brakmar, which I don"t like much either)

I have a strong dislike for elves overall, especially High Elves and Black Elves, one less point for EP and for AD. There are exceptions (the queen seems ok so far) but it's not helping that my favorite races happen to be those that Elves find ugly and dislike and/or enslave. (Despite my dislike for Elves, I do not like Skyrim's Nords' discrimination toward them, just to make it clear)

DC: So far the only one I finished
    AD: 7.8/10 too many Elves
EP: Skyrim gave me a bad impression of Nords. Black Elves are like High Elves. Stonefall is depressing for me.

I can only comment since I just barely started DC, I created a new character since I'm not sure I want to sludge through the grind that is VR ranks that doesn't offer anything other than seemingly endless level bar thanks to the 1M XP between levels. Honestly, they would have been better off to just do level 51+ and allowed us to level every 250K XP, at least we'd feel like we were making some progress... the slow progression just sucks the life out of gameplay. People like to level, regardless if the level doesn't really offer anything significant- at least it moves... VR ranks... just no. I love leveling, I love gaining new abilities, moving upward... that is fun, grinding just to barely see your bar move is NOT fun. I am just hoping that when Orsinium comes out, they allow entry at level 50 and not make it only accessible by high VR rank.

Anyway, I digress... AD was awesome for me. I love nature, so helping nature spirits and quests like that were very enjoyable. Honestly, the only area that I have despised so far is Coldharbour... talk about a navigation hazard... when the path is almost exactly the same shade as the rest of the ground... I'm just thankful I am on PC and have my mini-map.

    Matters of taste...

Personally I like EP best, but that's somewhat biased, since I am a dunmer fan. I really enjoyed the EP stories that give some background for the fighting in cyrodil - for the other alliances, there is little of that in their quests, but for EP, you get the image that fighting the other alliances is mere self-defense, after unprovoked invasions and a great deal of atrocities against civilians in Bleakrock, Bal Foyed and Stonefalls, or hatchlingkilling incursions in Shadowfen... I admit the stuff with the nords... well, some of it does get a bit old after a while...
The areas in EP are also nicely varied - we have volcanic stonefalls, wierd-vagetation Deshaan, swampy shadowfen, and the well known skyrim areas with Bleakrock, Eastmarch and the Rift...

DC is pretty "classic" in setup, areas and storyline. Glenumbra and Stormhaven are classic medieval fantary areas, Rivenspire adds a touch of "Ravenloft", Alik'ir a touch of "1001 Nights", and Bangkorai is kinda half-half between high rock and hammerfell, medieval and middle eastern fantasy. Still, the stories are a tiny little bit bland (always fighting off some "classical evil" - werewolves, necromancers, vampires, cultists, barbarians, imperial invaders), and the areas are either medieval fantasy, or desert.

AD... has too much trees. I mean, auridion looks neat, reapers mach interesting, but between these two its all forest, and bosner, and green pact this, meat mandate that... though maybe that's my pollen allergies speaking ;)
Quest-wise it's a bit much on the altmer court intrigue side... and full of stick-up-their-behind high elves... (and "touch-that-stick-and-we'll-kill-you wood elves...) But again, that's my taste, others may love it!
