Identifying Armour/Weapon Styles

Is there anyway in game to identify the style of armour/weapons that are found/looted/rewards?

When I come across armour that I like to style of, I am resorting looking at external websites to try and identify amour styles in particular when I want to create that same piece but at a higher level.

It is either that or craft multiple styles of the same piece of armour to see which it is.

Thanks

Is this on PC or console? There's a nice add-on for PC called Harven's Trait and Style or something like that. It adds a small bit of text on the item pane so you can see the style of the piece.

Something like you mention would be useful on consoles.

You can compare the piece to what you see on ESO Fashion.

Or you can decon the piece and see what Style Stone you get back.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    @Nestor.

That's the external site I am using but (and it's probably just me) but find having to check ESO fashion interrupt the flow of me actually playing the game.

Good point on decon'ing the piece but not always guaranteed to get a stone.

As mentioned before, a simple piece of text would suffice.

    This is the easiest way.

I wish they did this on the PC too......

I have been wishing they would ass "style" to the top of equipment pieces.
So many times I find something cool looking and have no idea what style it is...until I tear it apart and see what type of resource it gives me.

    Thanks

You get an AWESOME! On console (XBOX), I'd love to be able to see the style of a found item.. "is that Nord, or Bosmer?", at the very least when I attempt to deconstruct is should show up. Often deconstructing will give a race material then I can tell.. I think.

    Thanks QuebraRegra,

I've only been on ESO for about a month or so (but been playing TES games since Daggerfall) so I am still finding things out.

One of the other thing that would be nice is if we could see a visual of the item that we are crafting. Many-a-time I've crafted something and thought "Ugh! Dont like that" or "that's not what I was after" and de-constructed it again.

On the plus side my crafting skill are going up quite nicely. :p

^ also nice! An item preview would be ideal.
