Horse question

I just got my horse last night as a level 12 player in Glenumbra. I mainly do PvE. I haven't had any issues with inventory yet, so I figured I would alternate between stamina and speed upgrades before going for additional storage. Does it make sense to go about it this way or should I primarily be focusing on one trait?

Stamina is useful primarily in PvP, so I prefer to focus on speed and inventory with my PvE chars. But it's up to you, if you don't need inventory and might spend more time in Cyrodiil in the future, speed+stamina would be a good choice.

Remember, storage is 1 for 1. So if you don't need it yet, or don't think you do. Wait.

Otherwise. I say ficus on Speed first and throw in Storage and a few Stamina points asking the way

Until you get your horse to about 20 to 25 in speed, it will seem real slow, as in so slow why am I riding this thing slow.

Horse Bags are the cheapest Bag Space upgrade after the first two character upgrades.

Stamina is important to keep you from being unhorsed by an enemy. You can still sprint on your horse long after they use up their Stamina.

So, me, if I was starting a new character and bag space was not an immediate concern, then I would get speed up to 20 to 30, then alternate Bags with Speed in my feedings until I got those to say, 50. Then fold in Stamina instead of the stat that is at 50. Stamina is pretty good at 20, really good at 30 and no PvE mob has unhorsed me when it is at 40.

Then you can decide which stat needs to go to 60.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I'd alternate between all 3, or focus on stamina/speed first and pick up storage after those hit 20.

At level 20 of each riding skill, you get an aesthetic upgrade to your mount. 20 points in speed gives your mount saddle straps or leg wraps (depending on the type of mount). 20 points in stamina gives your mount armor plating. 20 points in carry capacity gives your mount saddlebags.
