Heavy armor 2H or DW build help please

Forgotmymeds
What I really want is an effective build that uses all heavy armor and either a 2 handed weapon , or dual wielding. Not interested in staves, bows, or shields. Anyone have an effective build idea for this? I want to be able to contribute to end game co-op, and I don't care about pvp. Thanks for any advice!!

    I'm doing one of these now, it's a modified version of "The Bloody Butcher" by Deltiasgaming.

    For armour, I go with 5/2 Heavy Armour/Medium Armour

    Heavy Armour:

    All passives besides 'Bracing'.

    Medium Armour:

    Dexterity and Wind Walker are all I've picked up since I'm only wearing 2 pieces.

    DW:

    Flurry -> Rapid Strikes
    Whirling Blades -> Steel Tornado
    Twin Blade and Blunt
    Slaughter
    Ruffian
    Duel Wield Expert

    2H:

    Critical Charge -> Critical Rush
    Reverse Slash -> Executioner
    Caltrops-> Razor Caltrops
    Balanced Blade
    Battle Rush
    Follow Up
    Forceful
    Heavy Weapons

    (Now, I'm a DK so for my other slots on my ability bar, I'm using the class skills listed in Deltia's guide. It's pretty amazing in all honesty. I'm able to out DPS my sorc friend single target. But he kinda pulls away in AOE since he's able to spam more than me.

    Bloody butcher looks interesting. Why dual and 2h? Which is more important to focus on first before you hit lvl 15 and have both?

    I read the actual bloody butcher build and it looks like it relies on medim armor and lots of potions. I'm hoping for something that excels with full heavy and not having to down lots of potions.

    Why full heavy? Unless you're tanking, it's not really necessary. Medium gives you stamina passives. If you want to go full heavy for looks, I'd recommend making a Tank alt. You don't have to go full Medium; you can mix it with some heavy for protection/style.

    As a tip, you can level up two weapon trees at once if you can't decide which type you want to use yet. If you're using DW, buy an ability from the 2h tree and slot it on your bar. If you're using 2h, buy a DW ability and slot it on your bar. Buy some passives as well. The ability you buy and slot will be worthless to you because you won't be using that type of weapon, but every time you earn XP from quests/killing stuff, that XP will count towards both weapon trees. You'll essentially be leveling a weapon you're not using just as quickly as the weapon you have equipped. That way you can swap between those weapons later and not have to worry about grinding one skill tree up at a time.

    Potions aren't an absolute must if you don't want to use them. I'm assuming you're a DK if you're looking at the Bloody Butcher build; I found a few links you can check out for more details.

    I yeah, and I think I'm stuck on the idea of heavy armor, because my last character was a sorcerer with light armor. I tried out a dungeon and I was first to die like 10 times, even though I stayed in the back. Someone in the group suggested that light armor was trash and I should always go with heavy.

    My 2H/DW stamina guy uses 2 pieces of Heavy armor (chest and legs, for looks and better armor mitigation from those pieces) and the rest Medium. It's a good look for him, so if you want to play around with a mix and see what style you like it can help out your build.
