PC version worth it?

I have the Xbox One version, but having no text chat kills the game for me. I also recently sold my Xbox, I'll be getting the Forza 6 edition when it comes out.

Anyways The PC version is only $12 on GMG, so now is the best chance to buy the version I should've bought in the first place. How popular is this game on PC? Also, will I be able to transfer my Xbox character over to PC?

Thanks.
Xbox One/PC, North America.

want to have easy social interactions => PC
want to have improvements (add ons) on the minimalistic UI with everything your hart desires => PC
want to freely reassign your buttons => PC

my question is, is the Console version worth it? commpared to PC, No

Edit: oh and transfer your char? NO, this was only a short time option for PC players to transfer to console before it was released, but so far only a one time short window service

I can not recommend the PC version. While it has a text chat, it is full of trolls writing in incomprehensible languages and the few who do use some form on english have nothing particularly insightful to say anyway.

But most importantly, it is horrible P2W garbage! There are even XP/CP boosters in the cash shop!!!

There's no booster potions in the crown store on consoles?

Judging from whale questions here on forum not yet, unless they were added very recently. In which case all is lost, doom and gloom everywhere.

You must be on the EU server. I have yet to see any one type in anything other than English on the NA server. And I can understand everything they say. Even the children talking about sex stuff on there.

Consoles apparently don't have the same version of the game that PC has right now. They are a few patches behind so they don't have the XP pots. But they are coming... Soon.

To answer the OP.. I was a console player before coming to ESO on PC. I would never play this game on a console if I had a choice not to.

If i had a pc that could handle it i would go pc... I cant stand the fact that the consoles dont get a chat box.... The devs were *** for doing that to console players... I hate voice chat and thats not a valid means of communication...

If you like playing with keyboard and mouse (as do I) and chatting with text, then PC is a good choice.

    Other bonuses:

    - add-ons
    - higher graphics quality (or lower, depending on system)
    - portability (I play on my MacBook Pro when on the go, desktop at home)

    Drawbacks:

    - bots ... you'll see them on the PC side, because it's just more hackable
    - controllers (console-style) ... if you want it, you'll need work-arounds

So... the chat in any MMO. There is a reason why we can switch chat tabs.

The console version is the PC version without text chat, basically.

If you're new to the game I'd say try it, the early game is the best part. Whether it's console or PC, whatever medium you prefer since it's essentially the same game.

Be careful buying cheap ESO Versions from key sellers. They might be faulty and you could end up being banned. I remember there was a situation a few months ago, when some gamers who bought their keys from 3rd party resellers lost their accounts.

Only buy from the official shops, just a friendly advice. 12$ seems really low and should make you suspicious.

As for the PC version, on my end its running just fine and I saw a lot of other players earlier when I played.

True. Angry because everything promised never came to fruition. Angry because PC players paid a monthly fee for a year for what amounted to a test server for console.

    But

The game is still fun although very stale. If you like console I really believe you will like PC. Given how cheap you can get the PC version, I would without doubt recommend PC version. Not much to lose by trying it out. I don't think you can switch your character over but I am not 100% sure.

Customising your game UI and info on pc with unlimited addons is a big bonus (and if you can afford 4k, it's very pretty) , and a keypad and gaming mouse makes it a comparable settee/couch experience to console comfort. I never touch my keyboard while playing (use teamspeak) unless I really need to chat with strangers.
