I've read different opinions on different threads about where to invest your attribute points. Some say put all your points in Magicka. Some say point enough points into Health for a 20k pool. Some have even mentioned a Stamina build (interesting). What is the recommendation for straight up PvP and also PvE content?
The reason some builds mention stamina and some magicka is it matters what their main resource is. Your stamina skills will do more damage if you have a large stamina pool, magicka skills will do more damage if you have a large magicka pool.
I'm not a PvP'er though, so I shall leave the ratio discussion for someone else

Noted MizzBizz. I'm just trying to get a feel of different playstyles so I can see where I fit in. People will always say that it will depend on what you want to do and how you want to play. The thing is, there are so many variations that accomplish the same goal. I'm just curious to see what others have done and why they have done so.
Unless you have a 1000 Champion Points, Hybrid Builds don't work. Instead of being strong in one area, your weak in two or three areas.
If your a caster, you want all your points into Magic. You want all your glyphs into Magic. You want all your jewelery with Magic boosts and either Regen or Cost Reduction on it. You want to use Crafted or Dropped Sets that improve Magic, such as a 5 Piece Seducer Set and a 3 Piece Torugs or Magnus or something else.
I am at 29K Plus on Magic, I don't think I am over or really near 20K on Health, and Stamina, it's around 10K or so. I am squishy so I used Ranged Attacks. Unless I am in Tank Mode using Hardened Ward and Boundless Storm. Then, nothing is doing damage to me so I wade into the mobs and wail away.
It won't be too different in PvP if I was to go there, but I would probably swap out my Cost Reduction stuff for more Regen.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Awesome. This is what I wanted to see. What others are doing if they've allocated majority of points in magicka and working around the low health dilemma. Thanks for sharing!
The suggestion for 20k health is so that during endgames you don't get one-shotted by boss mechanics, surprise power attacks etc.
I've found two ways to mitigate the low health problem, food is the most obvious since it can add a couple of thousand health points. I'm in the early 40s in levels and using an old food that still gives me nearly 3k extra health. If I bothered to level provisioning and get an appropriate recipe I could add more.
The second is armour enchantments. I use health enchants + the infused trait on head/chests/legs to maximise the bonuses.
I appreciate this is an old thread. And I'm not sure how new it is.. but, in crown store you can buy a one off pack. Starter or adventurer I'm not sure which, but one gives you tri resto potion and something that boosts all your bars. I have just 22k heath. 20k mag and 20k stam. 30 points in mag and health 4 in stam from rolls and blocking. Before I go into big boss fights I drop my boost item and equip my tri potion incase my mag or health drops too low and use my clan heal when needed. I am using vampire cloak and necross pot gear. But haven't got a full set that I know of. I think vamp is 5/5 not sure. Gives health which is helpful. But I'm not sure how much of it is light armour. I don't wanna be a glass cannon, but you get some nice bonuses from 5 light armour. But my mag feels mostly medium and heavy armour:L sor health is good but I miss the 5 piece passives of light. However. With CP ans being a vampire I take more damage from fire. Sucks. But CP has a elemental defender passive so I put points in that and that helps reduce damage from fire lightning and frost. And magic I think. Really helps, but as for putting your points into mag etc.. depends on your playstyle. If you wanna deal heavy damage with magic and dish out huge numbers, put all 64 in mag. You'll be fragile but you will deal high damage. Lacking sustain is fixable sort of with foods and potions. But you've gotta remember to pop them before fights when they run out.
Now, if you're looking at solo play but wanna dish magic damage out, you'll need to split mag and health, for sustain. You can still pop food and pots to add up numbers.
If you're going for pure sustain you'll want either 64 in health. Or 30 in mag and health. And 4 in stam. For rolls and blocks/interrupts. It all depends on play style. I put 30 in health and mag and 4 in stam on my sorc. Purely because I didn't know how many attributes points I'd have by max level etc. And some levels give an extra pountil or two. And I wanted to keep them even so I out my 3rd point in stam which has helped my rolls etc. it really depends how you wanna play. And somewhere there's a place where you can reset them so you can play around a bit
