Restoration Staff skills

Hello there,
Does Restoration Master (last unlocked passive stating: Increases healing with Restoration Staff spells by 3%) effect Ward Ally (a moprh of Steadfast Ward, and so not actually a healing spell, but a shield/absorption spell) at all?

If Absorption is considered a Heal, then it will help that, other wise no.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I doubt it but you could check it out with an add-on that shows you the numerical value of the shield strength with and without that passive.

At any rate, you really should be looking at the other morph, Healing Ward which is infinitely better since it gives you a small heal, then shields and then heals again based on the remaining strength of the shield when it expires. With the up to 300% greater shield strength for low health targets, that 2nd heal can be massive and is the key to smart shield stacking for soloing: with low health you cast your regular shield (Hardened Ward, Blazing shield, etc.) and then cast Healing Ward. What additional damage you take will eat away at the other shield keeping the Healing Ward shield intact and resulting in a massive heal that can take you from 30% health to full.

The situations when you would want to shield the lowest health party member AND yourself are few and far between. Not worth giving up the better bubble just to have one on yourself.

Hardened Ward and Blazing Shield? They are not not my "regular" shield, in fact I don't even see them in the game.

Healing Ward too? Where are all these?

No. Absorption and Healing are two different effects.

For the same reason you buff shield spells like Steadfast Ward with Bastion CP passive while you buff healing spells like Healing Springs with Blessed or Quick Recovery CP passive.

It won't affect/increase the absorption value.

You can find all skills and their morphs here: esohead.com/calculator/skills

There are several damage shields - bubbles that prevent damage, NOT the shield you equip. Some are class-specific, others come from armor, weapons, guild skill lines, etc.

Steadfast Ward from the Restoration Staff skill line can be morphed into one of two skills: Ward Ally (the one you're asking about) and Healing Ward, the better one.

If the Healing ward shield still has some juice left when the timer expires the remaining strength is converted to a heal. I don't know whether or not that heal benefits from healing bonuses but I think I've seen it crit so it might.
