I like how it's done in Guild Wars 2, if you kill an enemy with fire they are set ablaze, with ice they are shattered and with a sword bleeding a lot etc. ESO could do more, for example if you get overkill (doing much more damage than required) the enemy will get a special execution depending on what weapon attack or skill was used. A mace would crack the enemies skull and brains go out, sword cuts gut open and organs goes out, fire sets foe ablaze etc.

We here suspect this was because they were starting out with a "16" rating, which got raised to "M" with the justice system (murder of innocent civiliansd, I presume).
But now that the game IS rated "M", a lot of us would like to see more "M" stuff, and that would include weapon finishing blows. Decapitations when using a sword, crushed skulls with a mace, cleaved chests from a axe, cut throats with using daggers, and the "right between the eyes" effect with bows... all those would be a good addition to the game... perhaps even some variations, chopped off limbs, spilled guts and so on...
Of course, while we are talking about a bit of gore... it would also be nice to have a bit of blood splatter on our clothes after some hefty combat now and then. Client side, and toggleable to help with lag control, but the option ought to be there.
And of course... It had been vexing me from the start that there isn't enough blood when the story calls for it. Remember all those "badly hurt" NPCs in several questlines? Did you see a single wound on them, a lone drop of blood, or even one torn piece of clothing/armor? I didn't. I would have liked to, these small details are -just- what adds the extra bit of immersion to really see this story come alive in imagination...
Oh, well. Maybe someday. Heck, I'd even buy "extra gore and ultra-violence for ESO" as DLC pack for crowns...
